It doesn't take much to make an All-Star game. Kobe will receive the most votes

As of right now, absolutely. He's the best player on a division leading and top 4 team in the conference. 19/5/4 and a 21 PER in under 30 mpg (23/6/5 per-36). Among SG's, only Harden has had better per minute production. He's also played in 23/24 games, his best start since 2011.

No. He's not even the second best player on his team.

It's pretty crazy that a guy who's not even the second best player on his team leads his team in total points, PPG, FG's, FGA, SPG, USG%, is 2nd in APG, 3rd in BPG, and is the team's go-to player in crunch time.

It's also crazy that the team is somehow 15-9, despite the fact that they're apparently doing it wrong. I will be contacting Riley tomorrow so they can straighten things out.

Not sure why youre roasting him when hes right.

Whiteside and Bosh have def been Miamis two best players this season

It's not like anyone has been far and away the best. It's very close and the Heat are a balanced team. That being said, Wade is still the best offensive player and leading scorer on a team that struggles to score. He's also the go-to player in crunch time. When the game is on the line, the ball is in Wade's hands, and more often than not this year he's delivered.

Whiteside is frequently on the bench down the stretch of games. His defensive presence has been important, but he still makes a ton of mistakes and the offense has been mostly terrible when he's on the court. If a guy is too much of a liability to be on the court down the stretch of games, it's hard to call him a team's best player, and it's not just a FT issue a la Shaq, Howard, etc... He bogs down the offense, misses defensive rotations, and makes poor decisions. For some added perspective, Wade, a 34 year old guard, has more blocks this season than Whiteside has assists.

I've watched about 75% of the Heat games and that's just completely false. Whiteside doesn't even play 4th quarters, that automatically rules him out. Not to mention half of his points are spoon-fed from Wade and for every block he makes, he'll give up two the next time down because his post-defense is mediocre at best. Bosh? At times, sure but he still has too many of those games where he does absolute jackshit.

Look at the game tonight, the Nets cut the lead down to 1 and as soon as Wade gets back in, he single-handedly increases the lead to 10 and essentially wins the game. Bosh and Whiteside will never have that kind of impact.

I'd say it's between those 7. How many spots do guards get? 4?

Absolutely. Still highly productive on a per minute basis. Is right there with Lowry, and Butler for the best guard in the East.

There may be some flexibility for selecting reserves. I know there have been all-star teams with 5 guards. Wade and Wall will likely be the starters. I'm curious about Bosh and Whiteside. My guess is only one of them will make it, and as of right now I think Bosh would get the nod.

Wade has been killing it this year, surprised by how well he's doing.

He's probably an all star in the east or close to it.

FFGGG, FFGGG.

Wall has been pretty bad this season, BTW.

Buckets need more touches. I really like this kid. Dude literally leaves everything on the court.

Absolutely. He's been the best most consistent 2 guard so far
