View Full Version : Most unwatchable teams in the NBA

ArbitraryWater

1. Nets
2. Sixers
3. Wizards
4. Rockets (Harden brings the lolz)

Grizzlies are pretty boring. Bucks, few individual highlight acts but outside of that is meh. Celtics offensive ineptitude, nothing flashy, but good coaching.

Most others have a few compelling entertaining aspects about them, I'd say.

The Sixers as a whole suck to watch but their close games can be fun. Especially the ones where they're up in the 4th and then completely collapse in the last couple minutes, it's like they're in shock that they're still in the game they just forget how to play. I'm still waiting for Jahlil to lose his shit in a game and straight up kill a dude on court.

The Bucks are an abortion to watch if you take them seriously but tolerable if you pretend MCW is just some regular dude that won a game show where the prize is starting for an NBA team for a season.

Nah, I like seing Kobe play.. weather its his mindless chucking or actually performing well for a few last times (like as of late), its cool either way.. especially if he goes like 1 of 5 in the 4th and on that one make everybody goes nuts. Then you have Clarkson who's pretty good, and Randle, sometimes showing glimpses of what people talked about when entering the NBA and what he could become. Bad or not, they were decently watchable the last few years.

Throw in the Pelicans too, they are so damn boring. I'm definitely alone on this one but I actually don't enjoy watching the Thunder particularly either, even though I don't mind Durant too much and am actually a fan of Westbrook.

Oh I def. wanted to add them (Pels).. slipped my mind in the OP. Forgot to mention the Bulls too. They play ugly as hell.

Sixers are actually pretty fun to watch; if you have Robert Covington on your fantasy team.

I would say easily the rockets. The constant free throws are constantly making me switch league pass games. Harden ball is unwatchable.

Turning a corner or not (which I dont think is happening), they're an abomination to watch, led by Harden's free throw parade.

Denver is a tough watch.

I don't mind the Sixers. There's enough guys I still watch for progress. And I enjoy Okafore's palming the ball and running the offense through the post like that. But they are terrible.

The Nets are an awful watch. One of the worst I can remember. And I've never liked watching the Harden centric teams in Houston, even when they're working.

Another squad I don't like watching are the Raptors. For whatever reason they put a brother to sleep. :sleeping

I like watching the Bucks with Jabari Parker on the floor.

All in all, Rockets are the worst team to watch.

lakers are on there for me. improving lately with kobe getting some form but randle/hibbert has to be the ugliest big man duo to watch in the league aesthetically. I usually try to watch some games from the top few draft picks so have been watching more of them this season.

Nets = I just get annoyed seeing people in the front row on their phones. The fanbase heavily relies on whose the visiting team. The atmosphere from what I've heard is nowhere near the level of the Garden in Manhattan.

Rockets = Seeing Harden chuck up shots is actually fun. Not fun at all of course for Houston fans when he misses a ton of them and completely brings the team down with his atrocious defense.

Pelicans = cringe-worthy. Besides Anthony Davis, I feel all the guards on this team under perform. I always thought Holiday could be an All Star PG at this point in his career. He showed ton of potential back in Philly and was the talk of the town when I lived there. Tyreke hasn't been anywhere near as good as he could be due to all the injuries and his jumper is still pretty weak. Eric Gordon is in a similar situation to Tyreke.

Nets just have so many uninteresting players, there's no one to get excited about really, plus they are pretty shit.

Sixers are so bad it's somewhat entertaining. You feel excited to see if they can actually win haha.

Haven't watched much Rockets this year, but they can get irritating with their incessant 3Pt chucking, because unlike the Warriors they aren't particularly great at 3s.

Grizzlies try to play in a way most don't find exciting, but they have Chalmers now :D

Honestly, Heat can get boring when the offense stagnates. Wade is pretty fun to watch when he attacks, and Whiteside can be fun too. And I'm hyped for Winslow. But a lot of the team is meh to me. Gerald Green is super exciting, but he is a dunce lol

Cavs are boring outside of LeBron and Kyrie.

Best teams to watch are GSW, OKC, LAC probably. Timberwolves are fun and will be more so in the future.

So we've confirmed that most posters only watch a few teams so no wonder most folks don't have a clue what they're talking about most of the times...

Me personally? I'll watch any NBA game that is on. I'm a fan of the game. Now to the question in the OP. If I had to choose teams that are more "boring", I'd agree with the Rockets. Harden is almost unwatchable. Honestly, he has a very visually pleasing game, just like Paul George. But he doesn't have the substance.

I'd also vote the Sixers. I don't think the Jazz are boring at all. Have you seen Gobert, Burks, etc play?

The entire league is unwatchable - I was flipping through channels the other night and stopped on an NBA game just to see 1 possession - I wanted to see if it was worth watching - this is what I saw:

http://cdn.makeagif.com/media/10-17-2015/2dhvwh.gif

Needless to say, I chuckled to myself and flipped the channel before I got nauseous..

Penetration is an automatic, built-in component of today's game, due to the spaced-out, wide open driving lanes and hands-off perimeter defense - the result is an easy, drive-and-kick

The mandatory space that today's perimeter defenders must give ballhandlers (the hand-check ban), along with lower physicality, and the spaced-out driving lanes make today's game the weakest, softest, and most diluted version of the game in the NBA's history..

They had 115.5 ORtg in 1992, while the 1987 Lakers had a 115.6.

But I wasn't talking about single-season..

The Bulls had a 115 ORtg in 1991, 1996, and 1997 too... So based on ORtg, the Bulls are the best offensive team ever and posted the highest ORtg's ever... This is fact.

Lebron has the best on/off ORtg this year

Bulls ORtg with Jordan 1991-1993:....... #1 all-time (113-115)

Bulls ORtg without Jordan 1994:...... 14th in league (106)

^^^^GOAT IMPACT

Keep in mind that these kind of ORtg comparisons are normally done with an on-off format, so the player in question is replaced by NOBODY - whereas the Bulls replaced Jordan with Kukoc.

More importantly, unlike the impact of most players, the offensive improvement the Bulls experienced with Jordan didn't come at the expense of defense - they had the 6th ranked defense in 1994, which is the same as 1991-1993 (4th, 7th, 4th).

Jordan enabled a TWO-WAY TEAM, which shouldn't be surprising since Popovich said Jordan was the standard for two-way play (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11875185&postcount=49).

Who cares about ORTG in the regular season, those Suns teams melted down in the playoffs when they didn't get all that reg season space.
