East has been a joke the last few yrs but who could have imagined this? This years east is much stronger then the west so far! Portland, Memphis, clippers etc fell off a cliff it seems

The West still has the two best teams by far. Only Cleveland is a true title contender in the East. All of the rest of the middle of the road teams in the East will fold in the playoffs like they always do. OKC is also about equal to Cleveland so basically with true contenders the West still wins 3 to 1.

It was like this in 2009/2010 (Lakers, Magic, Cavs and Celtics) and everyone knew the West was better.
East is better so far, I don't know why.

4 out of the 5 strongest teams are in the west. Nobody in the east has a shot at winning the title outside of the cavs.

I dunno, teams improve. Coaching improves, rosters improve, young players develop, established players have strong seasons or take the next step, guys like PG come back healthy, guys like Whiteside emerge, etc.....
