Quentin Tarantino is pissed at Disney

"Specifically, Tarantino’s pissed that his new movie The Hateful Eight won’t get to play in regular rotation at Hollywood’s iconic Cinerama Dome, currently operated by ArcLight Cinemas, where the movie’s premiere was held. The director apparently had a deal in place for the movie to start running at the cultural landmark starting on Christmas Day—a week after The Force Awakens opens worldwide—but now, he says, Disney is threatening to pull its record-demolishing blockbuster from all of ArcLight’s other theaters if The Hateful Eight is given the Cinerama Dome spot."

I don't know about anyone else...but I'm looking forward to seeing The Hateful Eight a lot more than I am Star Wars. I'm annoyed that none of the local theaters (and there is a big one right here) are playing the 70mm version. I guess I'll have to go see it in long beach.

There's the theater list if you are interested in seeing the 70mm version. It's supposed to also be slightly longer than the full theatrical release on the 31st.

I doubt it will be that great. Dude is way past his prime and on self-indulgent coast mode now.

Inglorious Basterds was great, Django sucked and this will probably suck.
