This is terrific news. PS4 needs more new exclusives, and you can't get any better than a Hideo Kojima game. He described it as "edgy" and "smaller-scale". Something like Silent Hills, perhaps?
Very excited.

Two months later, but it's absolutely criminal what Konami did to Kojima. Threatening to pull his name from MGS5, telling him he wasn't allowed to speak for Konami during the VGA, making him work on mobile games, etc. They've run that company into the ground, and Kojima leaving just sounded their death knell.
Good riddance, too. Keep making casino slot machines, Konami.

Yep.
EA and Ubisoft get all the hate, but neither are anywhere near as bad as Konami. Former employees have come out and talked about how hellish it is working there, once they outlive their use by date, they're reduced to demeaning jobs like cleaning toilets until they're forced to quit. It's terrible.
Very glad Kojima cut all ties, it's just too bad we'll never get another good Metal Gear game. Not excited for Konami to run MGS into the ground with pachinko machines and F2P mobile games like all their other franchises. The way they've handled the Silent Hill franchise is tragic, I'll never know why they cancelled Silent Hills, the one game in over a decade that actually looked good and could've saved the franchise. Guess they just gotta sell dem pachinko machines...

Konami used to be one of the best video game studios in the business. :(
