Let me just say this before 3ball comes in a shuts this shit down. Defenders were actually intimidated by Jordan because he was a monster. Curry doesn't intimidate anyone, but he's still a monster in his own right.

Jordan wasn't that great to begin with. He faced legendary chokers as competition (good god, Malone even made the Shaq/Kobe duo collapse later on). Sterns golden boy was spoon fed and hyped to no end.
GOAT marketing team of all time though.

You pack the paint and Jordan can do nothing because he has no range. He would be a poor man's Kobe.

Jordan was "feared", but not because defenders were actually intimidated by him.
Guys who played Shaq... that's a whole different story. Or matching up with peak Barkley was intimidating. But especially in the case of Shaq. You were essentially signing up for a fight with the big fella with the way he used his strength (and elbows).
Jordan was feared for his scoring and ability embarrass you... just like Curry.

You can't pack the paint in today's game because 3-point shooting draws defenders to the perimeter and defensive 3 seconds also keeps the paint clear.
Btw, the way you beat a packed paint is by pulling up for midrange jumpshot - MJ was required to do this in his era, when the paints actually WERE packed, because there was little or no 3-point shooting and no defensive 3 seconds (paint-camping was legal).
And MJ was great at midrange, so he mitigate the packed paints better than anybody - it's a statistical fact (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11713121&postcount=49) that MJ shoots much better inside 20 feet than Curry.

This peasant is so insecure about never having seen Jordan play live. I swear, MJ lives in your head rent free. :lol

1-9 :lol

This thread reads like a bunch of people talking about a someone they never saw play.. Jordan was arguably the smartest, most malicious, exploiter of mistakes the league has seen. People feared him more than Curry because he was a sociopath. Except unlike skilled guys like Curry, Kobe and Shaq he would alter his game according to the present situation. Curry doesn't turn into DPoY for an entire game if the situation dictates. Kobe continues to shoot ill-advised shots despite it hurting his team and would never pretend to be someones friend, simply to backstab them at an ideal moment. He lacks MJs malicious self restraint. Shaq would kill opponents as if by rote, but would often lose focus if he wasn't scoring enough. Also Shaqs killer instincts would vacillate, which is why Kobe came in handy.
MJ could play in the paint in a time when the rules favored big men.

Jordan was on a prime Shaq, Wilt level of fear to opponents. Jordan had the mentality of Bird with the athleticism of Dr J and the skill of both combined. He could beat you in so many ways.
Also, Mike played defense. Like really well.

Jordan was an extremely competitive pyschopath who relishes in humiliating his opponents. Curry never does that.
Jordan's probably the greatest trash talker in history too.
Curry's the best shooter in history and will score a ton of baskets on anyone. But Jordan will score on you and then lock you down on the other end, getting on your head and talking trash.

Our Pelicans and the Cavaliers tried "The Curry Rules" with constant physical play, double teams, and lots of grabbing. It did not work very well however.

yup. Thats why bran needs wade to just be 2/6. Because hes not as unstoppable as the 2. The guy couldnt even get single coverage much more double which these guys normally get.

What is with all these insecure threads being made by former bron stans who are just now realizing that bron was a joke? They all have the same common theme in which Curry is made out to be more of (insert random bullshit comment here) than Jordan.
Yes, bron is irrelevant and Curry is the new face of the NBA. We get it. Your boy came up short and you look like a stupid asshole for not listening to those who told you 5 years ago that he would never be 1/10th the player MJ was. Stop spreading your shitty sorrows about it all over ISH.:sleeping

:wtf: Curry is a chucker with no conscience. Best shooter ever maybe. But Jordan was a killer. Everyone who stepped to him lost. I'm saying this as someone who hates the shit outa him for denying the Knicks at least 1 ring.

I didn't like it. That's why I hate him more than MJ, he was not a big game player. What was your reaction when Pippen benched himself?
