In his prime.
We all know Jordan's Bulls were contenders because they had the GOAT coach who implented the GOAT system. They also had Pippen who was a superstar.
Was there any other all-time great who had the luxury of having a team who could contend without that player (in his prime)?

The Bulls weren't contenders in 1994 - they lost in the 2nd round and would've been swept if Kukoc hadn't hit the miracle walk-off (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NSpgbPcxoU) in Game 3 to prevent the Bulls from going down 3-0.

Bulls went from 3-peat, to 2nd Round team, back to 3-peat..

But go ahead think this was coincidence and not due to the goat.

Amazing how much help Ordan had, put any decent 2 guard from today's era on that team and they win at least 6

I love how in 3balls mind if you take away one win, you have to take away all the Bulls wins. Well...if you take away that bullshit call in game 5, the Bulls are going home for game 6 up 3-2 in a series where no team could win on the others court.

It's too bad Pippen wasn't healthy at the beginning of the 94 season and played all 82 games because they would have certainly surpassed the 57 wins the season before and that would have been hilarious and brutal for MJ stans. I'm pretty sure they would have beat the Pacers (they were 3-1 in the regular season) as they matched up really well with them. The Rockets and Bulls would have had a hard fought series...it's actually interesting how alike the Rockets, Knicks, and Bulls were in 94...each team built around defense with one superstar and a bunch of roleplayers.

Jordan's jumpshot was better than Curry's from inside 20 feet:

.....................MJ 1997 (http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/893/stats/shooting/?Season=1996-97&SeasonType=Regular%20Season)...................Cur ry 2015 (http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/201939/stats/shooting/?Season=2014-15&SeasonType=Regular%20Season)............ Curry 2016 (http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/201939/stats/shooting/)

5-9 ft.......... 49.2%, 126 fga........... 40.3%, 72 fga.......... 54.8%, 28 fga

10-14 ft....... 51.5%, 466 fga........... 52.9%, 85 fga.......... 50.0%, 22 fga

15-19 ft....... 49.5%, 594 fga........... 43.9%, 132 fga........ 44.4%, 45 fga

Overall midrange % (all shots inside the 3-point line but outside the paint)

JORDAN 1997: 49.3%, 1202 fga
CURRY.. 2015: 41.1%, 285 fga
CURRY.. 2016: 46.1%, 76 fga

Anyone who disagrees that Jordan was a better shooter inside 20 feet must explain why Curry shoots a far worse percentage inside 20 feet..

I will be keeping track of these stats all year for anyone that says Curry shoots better inside 20 feet
