Purchased a book new for $30 a few days ago. Read it out, perfect condition (10/10). I have the receipt (30 day exchange or refund policy). I go in, they tell me all sales all final on books. (Was not notified that, that's cool).

HERES THE FUNNY PART. She said I could sell it back. I ask how much? You know what this btch tells me?

50 CENTS.

LMAOOOOOO

Okay.. Cool. $30 isn't much. But you're giving me 50 cents?

What about my return policy? Is this even legal?

Always did my college book shopping online and kept them all for my own library after graduating. For what I ended up paying for the books, it was worth keeping them instead of selling them back for an insulting return.

Did you speak to their manager? Do you still have your receipt?

I imagine they have to do something to prevent kids from buying the book, studying it for a week and returning it a week later for a full refund. Otherwise they'd basically be a library and turn no profit.

Yeah, that's exactly what it is. I didn't speak to anyone fck it. But regardless, you know, they can't have a fcking receipt that legally abides you to be able to return and prevent you to do it when doing so. Whatever lol. Just wanted to share this for the lulz. The book was a good read. Pretty adultish to give to my younger sister or cousins. I'll probably just send it to my grandfather in Canada, it has a LOT of sexual shit though. Lol.

Should just rent the book.

1/3 of the cost, and no hassle to return. Just give it back.

Sell them on Amazon or Ebay

Or half-price books.

Can find a ton of text books there too, FYI.

Buy books off of amazon and sell them back to them, its sometimes cheaper or as cheap as renting and you can hang onto it if it's useful

Problem #1 is buying it for $30 in the first place when you can get it shipped for less than $10 on Amazon. Never and I mean never buy from the college bookstore. If you're going to be exploited by the bookstore, at least choose to rent the book because that's the cheapest way to get it from them. But you should never not buy the book online.

I don't really like this site, but you can go to eCampus.com and sell your exact book for $6.50. They have a $5.00 buyback minimum so you meet that. Just find a box and ship it to them with their label (shipping is free) and you will get a $6.50 check in the mail bruh. :confusedshrug:
