What a crazy turn of events. Shaping up to be one of the weirder individual seasons we've ever seen - to go from being so unbelievably bad over a given span to suddenly eclipsing his career shooting clip by a wide margin over another span?
Fascinating to observe.

The fact that you're speculating this much about a broken 37 is fascinating to observe. People are speculating Kobe's performance on the court more than Lebrons'

It's 5 fricking games, and he purposely sat out against the only legit competition he would have faced in this stretch.
Let's all relax until he does this against a contender, although knowing Kobe he will sit out AGAIN the next time the Lakers face one.

What the fukk is there to speculate about when it comes to Lebron, a guy who's been great all year while carrying an injury plagued team to the best record in a much improved conference? :wtf:
Of course people are gonna speculate on Kobe more, considering he's played like the worst player in nba history until the last handful of games. :oldlol:
Are Kobe stans really this stupid?

Aren't the Roxs .500 and the 6th or 7th seed
I mean no team that lost to the Nets twice is contending for anything

Those are averages from his last 4 games, actually. And the average defensive rank of those 4 opponents is 26. Bottom 5 defensively. But given the start he had, it's something, I guess.

This. The turnaround has been uncanny.
Through 17 games: 15.9/3.9/3.2 on 29.6% (17.9 FGA)
Since 18th game (7 games): 20.6/5.1/4.1 on 48.2% (15.7 FGA)
and has more than doubled his game score. How this is possible? Only Kobe, I guess.

Huh? He made a pro Kobe comment, it is fascinating to observe, I'm sure especially for Laker fans (which you are not), the fact you felt insecure to call that comment out AND had to include LeBron brings out a whole new badge of Kobe dicksucking issues.

Again...ever since he announced his retirement opposing players have given a James Haren level of effort defending him.

Just because you say things doesnt make it true. He has been hitting shots that he was missing all the time at the beginning of the season. "I just feel good. My legs feel fine. I feel like me."

So much flip flopping from Lakers fans.
Kobe basically hasn't played the last 2 seasons. He is also playing with a bunch of young guys and veteran scrubs. Also Byron Scott's offensive "system" is a joke. Put Kobe on the spurs and he would be their 3rd best player after Leonard and LMA.

I get your point - Kobe was often an inefficient chucker.. A 6'6" Iverson.
But his game had a few more layers.. He fostered better chemistry than Melo or Dantley.
Not like Bird or Jordan-level chemistry, but good enough to lead his team to a couple rings.

He didn't need to foster anything with phil as coach and players like shaq and gasol as teammates. If anything he alienated his teammates, and his teams won despite that from pure talent and phil's coaching.

20th season shit like this is unheard of.
Like...it's never happened for a 6'6 200 pound dude.

Only if The Knicks could foster a championship.
