Activists are planning a Black Lives Matter demonstration that they say could bring hundreds of protesters to the Mall of America on the day before Christmas Eve.

The protest set for Wednesday at the nation's largest mall is aimed at drawing attention to the police shooting last month of a black Minneapolis man, Jamar Clark. The 24-year-old died the day after he was shot by police responding to an assault complaint.

A similar demonstration last December drew hundreds of demonstrators angry over the absence of charges following the police killings of unarmed black men in New York City and Ferguson, Missouri. Stores in the mall had to close, and dozens of people were arrested.

The privately owned mall said another demonstration would mean lost sales.

The mall sought a court order blocking the planned protest. A judge on Tuesday barred three organizers from attending the demonstration but said she doesn't have the power to prevent others from showing up to demonstrate.

FFS, please, just go to work. Stop protesting, and just go to work. Everyone will be a lot happier.

We have three stores in that mall. Why is it that when you are protesting 'police brutality', you don't go in front of the police department to protest?

Because your whole goal in life is to make other people miserable.

If you don't work that day, spend time with your family. Nobody cares, and nobody at the mall will do anything to help your cause. You're only creating more enemies, and more people to despise you.

This has been the big takeaway Ive seen from this whole thing, from trayvwan, to teddy bear brown, eric gardner, freddie gray.

The belligerent protests from these people over violent niigs getting what they should, has just caused more of the centrist crowd to start really sayin "ya know what, fukk off black people."

Obviously there was an end of the spectrum already doing that, and there is an opposite end that never, ever would no matter what. But a lot of the crowd that is normally pretty neutral on race stuff is starting to just get fed up with black people in general as a result of all this absurdity, even tho it's not all black folks that are agitating.

Definitely not helping their own causes - but again, the cause isnt even the issue for them. The attention is.
