I'm the team on the left. Y'all liking my chances? I'm liking my chances.

Like I said, this week we're gonna be positive. Let's bring each other up, and not tear each other down. Positive vibes. Christmas time, New Years. We are a team, whether we like it or not.

It's a $100 buy-in.

There are no good defenses on the WW. There's no good players on the WW. If you didn't snag people up weeks ago, your f'ed now. The best defense on the WW right now is the Giants.

The guy I am playing actually has OBJ, but... we all know what happened with that one.

UK2K
12-23-2015, 12:59 PM
you have a pretty legit squad, even when philly defense puts up bad numbers, I think you should still be able to walk through him.....

Just to be on the safe side tho.....what defenses are on the waiver?
Literally, nobody. Giants vs Minny. Saints, Titans.

I thought about giving the Titans a run but I'm not going to cheer against my texans.

I've also got lacy on my bench but he's been a fat piece of shit lately. Got ASJ too, but I don't trust him either. Have Diggs, which I could play, but he's inconsistent.

I got a buddy who lives in Newport News who's a huge skins fan, and he keeps telling me the same thing.

I wanted to pick up a D off the WW but there really isn't anyone better.

I told myself if the Texans make it, I will go to the Super Bowl. I have 4 vacations planned next year already, but a cruise has been on my wish list, for a long, long time.

But since I am older now, and boring, I'm probably going to throw about $800 towards my car (almost paid off, maybe 12 more payments I think) and the rest goes to bills. :(

My family is like, what do you want for Christmas? And I'm like, um, pay my bills for the month.

Well, yeah, and the bud. Gotta have that. Dude wanted to go halfsies on a pound, but I'm not travelling with that in my car across state lines.

But...

I've got Nashville in February. Then we've got Gulf Shores in March (girlfriends parents just bought a beach house). Vegas is usually April or May. Charleston is an annual trip for me in the fall, and now that my aunt has taken over recruiting for one of the hospitals there, it will probably remain an annual trip.

I think I can squeeze one more vacation in there, and I think its going to be a cruise. Honestly, for the price, it doesn't get much better than a cruise. Plus, cruises are one of the few things I will use my veterans discount on (I hate doing it), so then the price becomes unbeatable.

Vacations.... and next week its going to be 30's here. I have a feeling January will be rowdy.

No point in buying weight like that unless you intend to sell, and no point in finding enough people to sell half a pound to and never selling again. Just have a weed fund, I got like 300 in a drawer for my weed and just dip in whenever I need it rather than buy ounces.

That's awesome, Gulf Shores should be amazing and I'll actually be in Vegas at that time. I'll be the douche with a manbun at the craps table and sports book for a week straight. Do a cruise man, it's less popular than Caribbean cruise, but Alaskan cruises are DOPE.

Better hope Tim Hightower puts up a performance like this week, and not like last week.

That guy can win you the ship. Deangelo williams too.

I got screwed last week but was clear best team in my league. had Deangelo Williams, Tim Hightower (Ingram before), Devonta Freeman (drafted), Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr.

We play IDP and my opponent caught a couple pick 6s while all my guys underperformed. This week I'd have easily destroyed the entire league for the championship :( now I have to settle for 3rd place $20 consolation prize.

Hightower was a beast, as always. Williams was great, Hopkins was great. Shit, I won while getting 3.8 points from Big Ben, 6 from Olsen, and 1 point from my defense (Eagles D got stomped). The other dude had lost OBJ and Rawls, so his team was basically a smorgasbord of waiver wire pick ups.

Had Hightower, Hopkins, and Williams in Draft Kings as well, which paid off huge. Also had Bortles and Texans D (22 points).

If I happened to be part of the roughly .0006% of Americans who visit Mt Rainier each year (about 1.5 million annual visitors).... I guess I could.

But most people who vacation in California don't go to visit the mountains. In fact, I'd venture to say very few do.

So barring a glacier 14,000 feet up, hours away from any major city, they are kind of uncommon. I'd go a step further than KTF and say probably 95% of the country has never seen an ACTUAL glacier, in person.

That actually was my mistake, I didn't see the "plus many more" so I read it as you saying you'd been to Norway, Finland, Alaska, and I had not, but you were saying I had not been to the OTHER countries you've been to with glaciers, which is most likely true. I have not seen glaciers in any other country, but the US. Apologies. And yes UK is wrong, in colorado at least there are kids who can ski better than they can walk. Same in Norway/Sweden

Honestly I think we're just arguing semantics at this point which is kind of pointless. We both clearly know what a glacier is. My original point was that there is plenty of places for someone to vacation and see a glacier in the lower 48. As I stated, you can drive up to Mt Rainier and stay at a fancy-ass lodge with views of MANY huge glaciers.

I guess with how I live my life I forget that most of the time people don't do cool shit on vacations and just hang around the city going out for lunch (not aimed at anyone here).

Yea I don't know why I got so heated. I must be getting ****ing cabin fever from being home for the holidays....in long island so you were embarrassingly close  at least it aint jersey.

I apologize, and agree that most people don't spend their vacation time in a way I personally would find entertaining. To each their own I suppose.

Cheers man

Everyone I meet here in CO seems to have family in Jersey, it was just an educated guess :oldlol: At least you have family in Oslo, more than makes up for it I'd say.

Where are you based in CO?

You're right ahaha every girl I meet in a bar is from there. Currently Denver, I don't know if you're familiar with Jefferson Park? I haven't lived here long, we lived in Castle Rock as kids if you're familiar with down there, and I moved back a few months ago to live with my other brother who never left CO. I kinda want to leave Denver because it just seems like an odd culture. Why the hell is everything abbreviated? Lodo, RiNo, SoCo, NoDo....it's so corny (South Park really, really nailed it), but it might be a city thing in general with the gentrification going on across the whole nation. I smoke a lot, but the stoner culture is a little pervasive some places. Oslo is an amazing city, I'd love to find a way to move there. If you don't mind my asking, what do you do for work? Because based on your descriptions it sounds like my dream.

Oh right on. I don't know a huge amount about Denver, I only go in there for Nuggets games every once in a while. I do know where Jefferson Park is, and Castle Rock. I go down there to the Arc'teryx outlet sometimes.

I'm a photographer (landscape and commercial).

As much as I love basketball watching the Nuggets is so painful haha. I like the Pepsi Center a lot though.

Ugh that is awesome. Well if you need a bitch boy to carry equipment, or do finances, or anything :lol , and want to hire a dickhead who got in an argument about glaciers on the interwebs with you lemme know I'll send a resume.

When you're not traveling where are you based? More towards the mountains?

Ha I had my part in that argument. I get a little carried away when it comes to the mountains. I only really go to watch teams I enjoy like the Blazers, Thunder, Warriors etc.

I live in Boulder ATM. Might be moving to WA late next year after a New Zealand trip then back home (Australia) for a few months. Trying to sort out a European passport so I can move to Iceland for a year or so as well. My Mom's side is European so I think I will manage to get one.

Yea man, I understand getting passionate about that kinda stuff. Love Boulder, brother is an alum so we're there constantly for games. European passport makes traveling so much easier, I would recommend it, I personally can not get one. That's awesome man, I spent a day in Reykjavik and it wasn't even close to enough time. I don't mind the weird sun patterns. What percent of your life has been in vs outside the states?

I've only lived in the US for a year now. Got the opportunity for a green card and took it. I had traveled here and Canada a few times for extended periods beforehand though. I was in Iceland 3 weeks last year and it wasn't nearly enough..
