1: Minnesota is the perfect spot for rose to resurrect himself. Smaller Midwestern city with no expectations on him. The 2 main pieces are young and the leaders are all respectable. Maybe it works for him.

2: this thing is mostly about aligning all contracts to expire at the same time. Wiggins/towns along with Shabazz, Jerian grant, dieng, Doug McD- all on rookie contracts with kg, rose, Kmart, Toby Allen all expiring the same year. They say you can't get free agent to Minnesota but there's never been 50-60 million and those 2 (plus the others I just listed)

3: if rose busts then he's the perfect tank commander. I really want to see Simmons join wiggins/towns. If a team helps New York and Chicago "reset" then the NBA will "let them" win the lottery again

4: I just really want Lavine and towns. Obviously they aren't throw ins in a trade. The Rose part is a gamble only a few teams should take. Minnesota is at the top of that list.

5: you have to remember it costs something to unload pekovic

6: Knicks would throw you and unprotected 2018 1st


There's a lot of good reasons for Minnesota. Most are financial and team building. Didn't figure they were super worried about winning now.
