I hate when players say "I'm the best in the world!!" Yea, it's great to have confidence, but it just rubs many people the wrong way, can sometimes come across as arrogant, and can isolate teammates.

The better response would be something like "I think I'm ONE OF the best players in the world, but in terms of who's THE BEST in the world, that's up for the fans to decide. I just go out and let my play speak for itself."
