Wow. I'm a fan of Klay Thompson but this statistic is really damning. It looks like Klay Thompson gets all of his free looks from playing next to Curry. Look at his efficiency when Curry isn't there creating for them, it's abysmal.

We will have to see if Klay can keep it up and score better than 15 points per game on 50% TS on the Finals. I don't think Golden State can repeat if he has a performance that poor once again.

Stop this whole Curry + best player in the world talk.

He's arguably not even the best player on his own team.

Just stop.

Teams just overloading on Steph and Klay getting open looks. Ultimate bird feed.

One of the most overrated players in the league, offensively and especially defensively. Kevin Martin could step in now and do the same job, and someone like Bradley Beal would make them even better.

Wow and steph destroying those "overloads" ( )

Imagine what MJ would do against said "overloads" that bring an entire 2nd defender to the strong side...

My oh my what would MJ do against a whole 2 defenders on the strongside.

Jordan scored at least 10 ppg more than Pippen in virtually every single playoffs series except two - in those two series, MJ scored 5 ppg and 8 ppg more.

No one else had to carry their team like that.

Percentage of team points scored while the player was on the floor:

.
......................RS......RS 4th.... PO....PO 4th....Finals.. Finals 4th

JORDAN 1997.... 36.0..... 40.1..... 37.7..... 46.3...... 40.9...... 50.4
JORDAN 1998.... 36.3..... 42.1..... 39.7..... 48.8...... 43.6...... 49.1

LEBRON 2009.... 35.0..... 39.3..... 41.5..... 42.4
LEBRON 2010.... 34.6..... 44.4..... 32.6..... 40.3
LEBRON 2011.... 32.0..... 32.8..... 28.1..... 30.7...... 21.4...... 14.8
LEBRON 2012.... 34.2..... 33.8..... 34.5..... 34.9...... 30.0...... 33.3
LEBRON 2013.... 32.1..... 32.1..... 30.6..... 36.0...... 29.3...... 39.1
LEBRON 2014.... 33.1..... 38.2..... 35.3..... 32.1...... 39.6...... 29.5
LEBRON 2015.... 30.1..... 38.9..... 35.0..... 42.4...... 40.0...... 44.5
LEBRON 2016.... 33.3..... 41.1

CURRY 2016..... 35.4..... 41.6

CONCLUSIONS:

1) As you can see, Jordan scored BY FAR the highest percentage of his team's points while he was on the floor - he puts Curry and Lebron to shame.

2) Lebron and Curry's proportion of their team's points often DECLINED in the 4th quarter, while Jordan's always increased, and significantly.

3) In the 4th quarter of playoffs and Finals, Jordan scored HALF his team's points while he was on the floor

You keep posting this SCORING stats when comparing MJ to Lebron. It's hilarious. Even Lebron himself will say MJ was the better scorer. Lebron's best trait is passing.

One of the most overrated players in the league, offensively and especially defensively. Kevin Martin could step in now and do the same job, and someone like Bradley Beal would make them even better.

Beal would not make them "even better". He's injury prone and a worse shooter and defender at the moment. Ask Wizard fans if they want Beal or Thompson right now and most would take Klay.

I think Klay Thompson is pretty overrated too, but replacing him with those players is underrating him. I actually think Khris Middleton would be a better replacement because they similarly. A guy like Jimmy Butler and DeMar DeRozan probably would do more things than Klay on GS but they aren't the greatest shooters.
