Love or hate what he does, he's a freaking master at getting his man out of position and getting fouled.

Srsly has this guy any fans other than Houston idiots?

I can't watch this idiot play, my eyes bleed.

Even his highlights like the "crossover" against Lin a few days ago are offensive fouls and suck.

Non-athletic fat midgets needs ft's .

He doesn't shoot much and can get to the line a ton. Not a big deal.

I dont like FT style of play, but lets be honest here - he is only exploiting soft rules. NBA can change it anytime, they dont.

I actually like Harden. His scoring arsenal and efficiency is ridiculous for someone that isn't as athletically gifted as most NBA superstars.

The very best scorers of all time were all world class athletes. Harden cannot compete with them so compensates by getting to the line.

Should he start avoiding contact and only shoot jumpers to appease casual fans? :confusedshrug:

Translation, defenders put their hands up in the air and Harden throws his arms against their hands.

But yeah today hand checking is permitted.

James Harden disrespects the game of basketball with his flopping bullshit.

the sad thing is that he was actually a likable, talented player back when he was on the thunder

now he's a walking joke

Some things about him I really like and some things I really dislike. When he's on he's definitely on. Can be a clutch shooter, has great handles and slashing abilities. Can score with the best of em. As a Ginobili fan over the years I'm used to a player being criticized relentlessly for flopping. But, Ginobili is like an ultra-competitor. Solid defender. All around team player. Harden seems cut from a different cloth for sure. Watching him flail about and launch 8+ threes a game can be a bit much

how can the commissioner watch harden play and not want to implement some rule changes?

Actually , hand checking sense changed little bit by refs . I don't see like 2006-2013 era calls anymore .

just for shits and giggles I looked at some other players and some were pretty close about 6 seasons into their careers. Maggette was making more FT's than FG's on average.

Gilbert Arenas:

FT's made: 2,513
FG's made: 3,090

Manu Ginobili:

FT's made: 1,700
FG's made: 2,029

Jerry Stackhouse:

FT's made: 2,080
FG's made: 2,209

Corey Maggette:

FT's made: 2,034
FG's made: 1,905

also looked at Durant, Wade, Kobe, Carter, McGrady, K. Malone... didn't really notice anything similar to Harden in terms of statistics alone

I will say that he is a good finisher to the basket when he's not flopping.

Maggette isn't surprising to anyone who watched him. All he did was throw himself into defenders when driving. It irked me. :oldlol:

Better than prime Kobe. Made it past the first round without a super team.

:biggums:

The thing about him is he flops so goddamn much, at least try to draw the foul AND finish the play. This guy just runs up the floor and EXPECT the foul call. Makes no effort to finish the play.
