We didn't even have to over pay to keep him in FA he was available multiple times before the pelicans got him

We didn't even have to over pay to keep him in FA he was available multiple times before the pelicans got himI think he didn't want to play in Philly again on Hinkie's terms and that's why he waited for weeks to get another offer. Also, some are saying Philly should have claimed him off waivers, which would have been cheaper, but maybe Hinkie didn't want him at that point. He's shown a tendency to lose interest in a player if they don't agree to his preferred contract (KJ and Tokoto were similar). I've supported plenty of decisions by this front office, but they dropped the ball imo on bringing in good enough guards to help out Okafor and especially Noel.

I don't think Ish would have turned down a 1-year, $4M deal though (overpay, but I'd rather have those 2 second rounders). I said over the summer that overpaying for CoJo would have been worth it and still stand by it (maybe he wanted to go back home too much to turn down a starting gig and more money, who knows).

This deal doesn't smell like Hinkie to me at all though.

Wroten was cut to early he just came back and I bet a team would've gave a future 2nd for him.

Those picks could've been used to get a better player or even draft better players than Ish
He did well last season and has been playing well this season but this is ridiculous. Just shows us how much power hinkie has lost.
