I would say technology/social media wise, it has never been this great and it's pretty darn awesome. I still remember hearing about xanga and myspace up until the middle or so of freshman year of high school.

I'm sure students are probably even more distracted in the classroom now then we were 5 years ago. Not everyone had a iPhone back then and it didn't have so many apps on them.

At least where I lived to, there was a "Ghetto" fad of wearing ghetto clothes and trying to act tough. We grew up in like a middle class school district that had little to no crime (very safe) so it was quite funny how this happened. I was part of this fad too.
