And for the record, dude in the video is absolutely correct and there is nothing wrong with what he said. He didn't say "merry christmas" is offensive, he said we as Muslims shouldn't say that because it is Shirk (worst kind of sin, blasphemy). There are other ways to respond when someone says Merry Christmas to us, for example whenever someone tells me merry christmas I respond with a simple "thank you, to you too". I'm not deliberately committing shirk and at the same time I am being respectful to your beliefs.

I was on line at the store a few days ago and when the lady in front of me got done with her purchases she said 'Happy Holidays' to the cashier, who was wearing a colorful head scarf. The cashier said the same thing back. They smiled and the lady left. Disaster averted.

Then the other day I had a grocery delivery. Couldn't tell if the delivery boy was Spanish, Arab, Guyanese, etc... Didn't know what to say as he was about to leave. But he saved me the potential embarrassment and said 'Happy Holidays' before he left. I returned the favor.

If anything good has come from the War on Christmas, it's 'Happy Holidays'. Works like a damn charm. :applause:

It automatically takes you out of the Deen, if you commit Shirk you are no longer a Muslim, that is why it is so serious. Is it not like that in Christianity and Judaism? Isn't Blasphemy the worst sin in those religions? I mean, these are monotheistic beliefs. Believing there is another god but your own is a totally new, polytheistic religion in itself, is it not?

You can't be Christian and believe there is another god other than the Trinity.

You can't be Jewish and believe there is another god other than w.e they think is god, tbh idek much about the Jewish religion.

How is it blasphemous to wish someone else that they celebrate their holiday merrily? You aren't confirming that their beliefs are true or legitimate.

There is a huge faction of extremist, ultra-fundamentalist Muslims who believe that simply wishing someone merry Christmas is worse than killing someone. This is the kind of shit that confirms to people Islam has no place in civilized society. Killing a stranger in the streets is preferable to recognizing the fact people celebrate Christmas and saying that by name.

So Muslims recognise that Christmas is a Christian holiday, but for some reason 'secular' types are oblivious to that fact, so busy worshipping the God of materialism and completely illogical consumption they are. Ha.
