Please understand what I'm sayin, I know he's the MVP and all, but first thing a kid wants to do now is shoot a 3. STFU Mark.

What he said is true. Whether he should have said it is another story

Meanwhile he'll probably praise kobe every chance he gets even though he's responsible for all of the chuckers of the past decade.

This is why you don't coach anymore mark

What's dumb about his statement is that at the high school level the line is so damn close, players should jack threes all day. At the varsity level it's a high percentage shot and the good teams all have multiple guys who drain.

Apparently Mark wouldn't be able to contain a group of kids. Working on your J should always be a focus. Asking a 5'8 ft kid to work on his inside game is laughable.

How does this clown have a job? He is a minister but impregnated a stripper and got caught making out with a dude. He abused someone on camera on the street about religion. He constantly says biased bullshit. Does ANYONE want to listen to him?

To be fair... "Curry" rolls off the tongue like "Kobe" use to.

Kids will continue to shoot the 3 regardless of Curry. :oldlol:

Well there's a fine line between playing like Steph and playing like Nick Young when you aren't too talented (like most people who pick up a basketball are).

Difference is currys 44% frm three would be a decent overall fg% year for kobe in his prime

Everyone always goes out and shoots threes first, what exactly is different?

He also said that these kids have to understand they are not Steph Curry, actually praising Curry.

Exactly.

I don't think he was downing Curry by any measure of the stick either. Its just that Curry makes it look waaaaay too easy. Kids will always go to the park and shoot - that's as natural as dribbling, so thats not going to stop. Ironically, they did blame Isiah for PG's over dribbling at one point, which Isiah didn't do, but he was a great dribbler. Dirk messed up the big man game for a good 13 years now. It's not PC to say it, but it messed up drafts (Bargs. Frederick Weis, Skeeta), and new guys with a post game were extremely rare since then, with no real increase with great 7 foot 3pt shooters. Its not Dirk's fault at all. Its just that the big man game became little because everybody thought it was an easy way into the league, instead of using their height which would have been better.

Fair enough... in this context it's not so bad. :oldlol:

Actually, at the end of this little rant, Mark Jackson also said that young players would emulate Kobe's 19 feet fadeaways without realizing that his footwork and fundamentals are what made him great.
