The white guy in the video is straight up stupid. Don't know many people who would ask specifically where someone else is from like that, yet not understand the question asked back at them. They must be out there though, but I assume most don't think that way....At least I hope they don't lol

Just don't get whats wrong asking this question... Sure not everyone will know going so far back, so why not just say that instead of dancing around it? Some people aren't putting you in a box, they're just genuinely interested.

I happen to know where my ancestors are from, only going so far back mind you. And I'd even make that clarification "As far as I know my ancestors going back only so far were from Ireland, France, Scotland, and America. My great grandpa came over from Ireland on my moms side in 1917, moved to Kentucky, and married my great grandma. Who was Cherokee, and as far as she knew, was the first in her family to marry outside of her ethnicity. Though, none of the culture from those areas made it to me. It'd be interesting to learn more about it though someday! How about you? :)"

If I didn't know, it'd go like this "I don't know actually! My family doesn't really know, and I've never had my DNA tested"

There's a difference between being an ass/ignorant/racist about it, versus what I'd hope many others would mean by it. This type of video will lead to some people treating it all as an ignorant, offensive question... When that very well might not be the case,

I went through a period of time during the summer that I was interested in my background. I even had a DNA test done but the more I researched, the more I learned that it really doesn't matter.

Humans are not static, we can change physically, our offspring can become another "race" entirely in just a handful of generations.

Every generation going back multiplies by two, 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great grandparents, 16 great great grandaparents etc...so if you go back half a dozen generations (not including yourself), you have 64 great great great great grandparents...and after that is 128:eek: That is a lot and a good possibility of it being very diverse people.

We're talking only a handful of generations back, never mind one thousand years ago. We literally have tens of thousands of ancestors...and obviously they'd be from almost every corner of the world if you go back far enough.

Quick example, as a Mexican American dude, let's say I married a blonde Dutch girl and we moved to Holland, if we had 3 kids and they married other Dutch kids and their kids did the same and so on and so forth (very unlikely that they'd keep marrying other Dutch though, humans love moving around/marrying outside their ethnic group). In just a few generations, my descendents would be totally different than what I see as my family tree (Mexican of Spanish and Native American heritage).

What I'm trying to say is while it's interesting to get to know you're ancestors and who and where they're from, it's more important to realize that humans are all the same, we are interchangeable...our differences are only superficial and culture is something that you learn.

Why is the NBA full of black people who can jump higher and move quicker than the few white players who manage to get in to the league?:confusedshrug:

The FDA says race is important to acknowledge for them because different populations tolerate different medicines and diets differently. Which is weird because all our differences are strictly external and superficial. Basically #WeAreAll1
and #WeAreAllTheExactSame,Literally

LIES. Humans are all exactly the same. All races are exactly the same. Race doesn't exist.
