Aldridge, Davis, Dirk, Griffin are the other star PF's in the West.

Undoubtedly. He's been easily the best PF in the League this season when you take into account his incredible versatility on both offense and defense as well as his leadership.

Green is one of the best players in the league.
Seriously he might be the best player, along with Kawhi.

Are you kidding me? No way the coaches don't select him.

That is not what he said.

Of course he's an all-star. How is this even a question? He's arguably a top 10 player in the league.

griffin will be the starter and green will be the reserve. he's a great player that's being allowed to play great due to the amount of defensive attention curry receives.

It works both ways. Draymond's the reason the Warriors can get away with a defensive sieve like Curry on the court.

I dont think there's ever been a time when the best player on the best team was not voted in the game
So yes, he'll make it.

your argument would make sense if green wasn't on his way to bagging groceries before the warriors took a chance on him. i do appreciate his hard work as much as the next guy but let's call it what it is. a system player who has reached the peak of his play next to the mvp who has reached even higher than he did the year prior.

All players are system players.
This kind of crap is essentially to insult anyone who adds value who doesn't demand the ball. Green should have won defensive player of the year last year, he's having another DPOY level season this year. There's no system that makes a guy his size effective as a 3 point shooter and an elite passer. A system can give him better opportunities, but the whole "system" you speak of, simply doesn't work with ANY other player in the league. Green is a unique player that has allowed as system to be built on his foundation.
He's not winning a one on one perhaps with the guys listed here, but the nba isn't a one on one game.

Yes, not close...he's making a case for first team all nba right now.

you are basically calling everyone in the basketball world a system player outside of like 5 to 10 guys.
even then, Green isn't a "system player"...his skill set and defense would be hugely beneficial to every single team in the league.
Of course in certain circumstances he'll get the most out of his skill set and get more notoriety...but that is true with every player actually.
You think Curry would be dominating as much if David Lee/Ellis were on this team and Green/Klay weren't?
What you are saying definitely has "some" truth to it, but it makes even less sense for a guy like Green...because he's about as good defensively as anyone in the league...and that really matters in a vacuum.

if you replaced green with kawhi the warriors would be the same or better. if you replaced green with griffin they would be infinitely better. if you replaced green with dirk they would be infinitely better. if you replaced green with davis the team would be better. do you get my point? green is doing what a role-player does and that is playing his role, but he was on his way out of the league before the warriors took a chance on him.
yes he worked hard, but it was a perfect storm situation. kerr's triangle adaptation system alongside curry's meteoric rise to stardom and his mvp caliber play that's even better now?
it wasn't because of green and he's getting way too much credit (mostly by trolls) for what he brings. put him on the suns and let's see how good he looks.
curry always will, and always has gotten his numbers with or without green, klay, iggy, barnes, etc. he made the playoffs and he even beat an iggy lead team in the first round with bird-fed klay as his running mate (who was much worse of an all-around player during that time).
All players are system players.

green didn't make the system :facepalm . he is not the foundation. let me give you a great quote by kenny smith.
"coaches don't create a system for their superstars, they create it for everyone else."
the system that kerr implemented was created to specifically maximize the talent of green and every other player on the team including klay thompson.
curry will always be curry. he always has been and he always will be. but the system made everyone else.
again, draymond green was on his way out of the league.

could not disagree more. i already agreed that he's on a team that maximizes his ability for the most part, but the Suns? He'd help them so so so so so much...they'd be able to go super small and they'd destroy teams offensively...his value/impact would be noticeable on all but maybe like 2 or 3 teams. Hell, even on the Lakers he'd make them so much better. Really on Philly would he not be a noteworthy player.
Dirk? Are you serious? They would be so much worse with Dirk...it's laughable. You are so off here it's awful.
Leonard? Not sure...he's the only guy you listed that could potentially keep them the same, but Leonard can't guard centers and doesn't allow you to go small with him at center...so...unless they changed the entire team...probably not.
Sorry man...you just aren't grasping how good he is...and it's not trolling at all.
He started the season as a top 20 player and he's worked his way up to the top 15 now. Don't really care where he ranks...but calling him "just a role player" or a "system player" is absurd.
Dirk? Seriously....you either over-rate the **** out of Dirk or simply don't know anything about Green.

dirk would give the team one valuable dimension that no other player on the warriors can provide - post play.
kawhi can guard any player that green can guard. i've seen the warriors play, and when they go small they defensive pressure is in their rotations, not straight up man defense.
also you didn't attempt to refute griffin or davis either.
and what i'm trying to get you to understand is that the system made him, he didn't make the system. he'll still get his numbers, and he'll still defend at an elite level, but let's call it what it is.
a player who was finally able to find his niche thanks to a visionary coach who created the perfect system for all his players.

wrong...leonard can't guard other centers the way green can. oh...you've seen them play? my bad...
Griffin? Not even worth talking about. His lack of 3 point shooting and much worse defense makes is a pointless conversation.
Davis? Perhaps, but he's not nearly as good defensively and his passing is also far behind.
Of course Davis and Leonard are better overall players though...but I'm not sure there is a better guy in the league for that role on the Warriors. Green does everything you'd want...and he does it really well.
