View Full Version : Why do Kobe fans talk about LeBron's 2011 Finals when..

Kobe actually was worse than LeBron in that same playoff run vs the Mavs

2011 Stats vs the Mavs playoffs

Kobe

19/2/3 on 41%

LeBron

18/7/7 on 48%

LeBron was far better than Kobe vs the Mavs, so why do Kobe fans even bring up 2011? :lol

Bottom line:

18/7/7 on 48% >> 19/2/3 on 41%

2 wins vs Mavs>>> Getting swept

Playing in the Finals >> Losing in the 2nd round

LOL did you see MJ's 1996 or Kobe's 2004?

Heck even Wilt's 1969 is a stronger argument

A bran stan isn't even in position to question the motives of a Kobe stan or Jordan stan.

Bron choked 4/6 times. Kobe only choked 2/7 times. MJ ensured 6/6. Now stop melting down just because bron's passing from significance in the NBA is analogous to a fart passing in the wind.

Why is Lebron's 2011 finals loss the worst ever?

1. Had the best team.

2. Had HCA

3. Had no injuries

4. Was in his prime

5. Only had to do a little more individually to win.

6. The best player in the series was his teammate.

Everything except #4 holds true for Kobe

And Kobe was still close to prime.

Just for the 4th quarters and overall scoring output, people like to nitpick

And Kobe was still close to prime.

1. With Malone out the Pistons were better (they proved it against the Spurs the following year)

3. Kobe had no injuried but had to deal with the Colorado case. He underperformed during the entire playoffs because of this.

5. Slightly better play from Kobe would not have won the series.

So no. Lebron's failure was more complete.

Wade wasn't the best player in 2011 either
He threw away Games 2, 4, and 6 and he sat out the 4th quarter of game 5

Was talking about Kobe's 2011, but I guess you could apply it to his 2004 choke as well

He actually played and scored 10 points that quarter, which would be more than LeBron scored in the 4th in Games 2-5 COMBINED

Well debating Kobe's 2011 season would be laughable.

Kobe's ankles were done by April 2011.

He had 3 injuries in the last 2 months of the season.

And LeBron had an injured elbow in 2010, and a broken back last year
So what?

Why does Kobe get an excuse for 'playing with injuries'

It's the price you pay for yearly PED shots in Germany

No physical evidence.

And should we trust Lebron on these sorts of things?
