Bosh is not really that bad when he's not outmuscled. People forget he's a PF. He actually knows how to defend the post, compared to Whiteside or Jordan.

Let's not act like Jordan was not being punked by Tim Duncan last season in the play-offs.
Hibbert averaged big numbers because Bosh was outmatched and the Heat stuck with this plan because they knew that having Bosh defend Indiana's PnR and having him stretch the floor was more valuable than the points they were giving away on the block.

When Bosh defends his natural position, he is a very good post defender.

Bosh isn't even the worst post defender on his own team, much less the league.

He's an unconventional big, but his defense has always been highly underrated. His post defense, though not exceptional, has improved considerably. He's not a shot blocker, but his PnR defense and range are as good as any big in the league. That's where he excels defensively.

how many big men would let Roy Hibbert average 25/11 on them?

Bosh isn't a center, and Hibbert was allowed to get away with murder in that series. It was ridiculous. The Pacers front line was a tough matchup for anyone, much less an undersized Heat who started Bosh at C and Battier at PF.

Bosh is the best big pick and roll defender in the world, which is why he won two titles as a main cog.

Offense aside...Miami never wins a title without his pick and roll defense.

Bosh has terrible defense. He gets overrated since he has played with 2 elite defenders: lebron and whiteside.

Irving is good when healthy (which is rarely), Wade was good in 2011, shit afterwards, but yes what you said is true.

Bosh and Love have 0 impact on a winning team, they're made for the lottery

I honestly don't know how these bums are even in the NBA, they should have been sent to the developmental league years ago.

They should count their blessings every night that Lebron gifted each of them with a max contract so they can feed their families and rings for Bosh and Wade.

Nah, they're not as bad as current Kobe (not yet anyway), but their games are perfect for being the 1st option for a 10th-15th place team.

They can carry a mediocre offense, but can't help winning teams win.

you are really giving them too much credit, they barely posses enough skill to be in the NBA, I wouldn't be surprised if Lebron had to hold extra long practices just to teach these guys the basic fundamentals like jump shooting, free throws, foot-work and exaggerating contact.

pretty pathetic that these 4 scrubs are the best help that Lebron has ever had.

Because you're in the NBA as a player or a coach. I'd be surprised if you are out of your Mom's basement.

Bosh has terrible defense. He gets overrated since he has played with 2 elite defenders: lebron and whiteside.

Anyone who calls Bosh a bad defender is completely clueless about the game of basketball, and Whiteside is nowhere near being any elite defender. He's a good shot blocker and rim protector, but only an idiot equates that with being an elite overall defender. For every shot he blocks he lets up a score at the rim. He's a mediocre man defender and he constantly gets lost on switches.

Bosh, as has been mentioned, is the best PnR defending big in the league. NBA coaches would say the same (and have on several occasions). His length, quickness, and range are MAJOR factors in the Heat being an outstanding defensive team. He covers as much court as anyone in the league. In the big-3 years, Bosh's defensive ability allowed Lebron and Wade to wreak havoc out on the perimeter.

In 2012 Wade averaged 22/5/5/2/1 with a 26.3 PER (3rd in the league), 23/5/4/2/1 in the playoffs, and 23/6/5/2/1 in the finals. He was an all-star and 2nd team all-NBA. That's shit?

Bosh has actually improved quite a bit in the last couple of years.

Up to that point he had been completely atrocious. Honestly just downright awful.

That's your response? :oldlol:

I post an entire season and post-season worth of numbers and accolades, and you counter that by asking about 3 games, in a series the Heat won and Wade averaged 26/6/3 including 41/10 in the closeout game? Are you sure that's what you're going with?

Next time you criticize Wade's 2013 playoffs, I'm going to counter with "what were his numbers in games 4-7 of the finals?"
