 26/11 on 11/16 right now. Scored 20+ on really high efficiency in 4 of his last 5 games. Simmons may not be the runaway number 1 after all.
Dude is long, athletic, can shoot and is only 18 years old.
Give me Ingram's length over Simmons

I'd be tempted to take him over Simmons too because he's the much better shooter, which is the most important aspect of today's game. Dude has a lot of offensive potential in today's league with his height/length.

Don't think Simmons translates offensively against bigger stronger NBA defenders. It would be different if he had a better post game

Yeah. I think it's just as likely, if not more that he maxes out as a Lamar Odom type than a superstar. He has given no reason to be optimistic about his shot improving and he doesn't have elite athleticism to combat that. He's pretty skilled though so there's no doubt that he'll at least be a solid NBA player.

Durant-esque. Even got the toothpick limbs to match
Against Elon tho. Need to see that vs legit schools. He's intriguing but will have to have a great freshman season to top Ben Simmons as the #1

Simmons hasn't played legit teams either but he already came in wit an established hype train. Simmons vs. SEC play should give us more of an indication especially vs. Kentucky

I agree he hasnt overall. LSU scheduled all their cupcakes early. They are done with those. Tomorrow i believe vs Wake Forrest then SEC action. But the hype on Ben Simmons the only way Ingram leapfrogs that is by having an amazing freshman season. We will see, it's possible. But with all the "best prospect since Durant" is hard for anyone to try and trump. That's all I'm saying.

Dont forget he is a TRUE freshman unlike Simmons, Skal, and 99% of American players that make it to the NBA..he didnt reclassify a year (purposely get held back a grade) to dominate the competition

Why has Skal slipped so much? NBADraft.net has him at #9 presently.

Because he's been trash. Can't rebound and has been passive as **** offensively. Just hasn't looked good at all.

76Ers need Ingram. They have no use for Simmons w/ Embiid, Noel, Oakfor, Saric. They need a shooter to stretch the floor.
Lakers would take Simmons w/o hesistation

I just can't come to the conclusion that he is a better player than Simmons after seeing both play. One clearly dominates the game a hell of a lot more, even without scoring.

Ingram's body is nearly as developed as Simmons.
I still have Simmons as the clear #1, but Ingram isn't a bad consolation prize.
I don't think Ingram is the next KD though. I think 18-year old Giannis with a jumpshot is a better comp. I might be wrong, but Giannis had better playmaking skills (in terms of setting others up) at that age.

I think Giannis is a more natural playmaker and ballhandler, and I like his frame better in terms of developing strength/muscle, but Ingram is a much more natural shooter and has better scoring instincts. Different style of play imo. Giannis I think is eventually gonna be a solid to good shooter because his mechanics and touch are very good (his problems are like 90% confidence and mental), but he's always been more of an attacking point-forward type, Ingram is much more of a pure scorer.
Call me crazy but I actually think Simmons is more similar to Giannis than Ingram is, style-wise. Ingram has the visual similarities with his body type (Ben is much bulkier) but I think Simmons plays more like Giannis.

I think Simmons tries to impart flair a whole lot more frequently while Giannis goes for a simple, straightforward play.
I think people look at Ingram's frame and feel he's the next KD when he's not. He's more of a Giannis type in what his effect will be imo, if that makes sense. I think Ingram is more a SF due to his shooting touch right now whereas Giannis is more of a PF/combo F.
Even if it's college, I think Simmons is more assertive in making plays than Giannis, who seems at times to not want to step on his teammates toes. I watched the Bucks a lot more last season, so I could be wrong now. Last year I got feeling Giannis would take a step back when he should have demanded the ball and made a play.
Also, Giannis' frame is a lot more conducive to adding strength. I doubt Ingram gets as chiseled as Giannis, which might not be that big a problem with his length and the fact he likely will play on the wing more.
I still like Jamal Murray, no takers?
