View Full Version : How did that scrub Roy Hibbert average 22/10 in an ECF

He actually had a 29/10 game. Bum was actually putting up prime Duncan numbers in that series. :biggums:

He was being guarded by PF Chris Bosh.

Bosh wants 15 mill. a year to get abused in the post, make a 3 a game and grab a rebound every month or so
heat's best big was a *** guzzler

No Hassan Whiteside and the NBA so desperately wanting Heat-Indy to be a rivalry that Hibbert had his own verticality rule.

He was defended by queen bostrich.

I find it hard to believe any NBA big would allow Roy ****ing Hibbert to dominate them like that. LeBron & Wade probably would've done much better jobs.

He was grabbing offensive rebounds like Dennis Rodman and putting quite a few back in as I recall.

Don't forget his defense too, actually gave the pacers a chance to win :lol

So much for LeBron ' can guard 1-5' James :lol
The heat frontline made him look like wilt

Exactly, but people conveniently forget. He was an excellent offensive rebounder at one point so that is probably how he scored half his points. He's a good ft shooter too and could knock down the occasional mid-range jumper or jump hook. That was more than enough against Miami's sorry front line...

So when someone on the other team has a big series it means no one on your team can guard big men?
you watch his points scored as I just did and you will see a huge number of putbacks and an unusual number of successful pick and rolls. He made a few nice moves like a spin on Bosh and a very under control destruction and dunk when Wade tried to draw a charge.
He wasn't exactly posting up and taking over the game. he did score on some quick post ups making a big target in front of the rim for a quick jump hook over Haslem or whoever. But it wasn't what it seems people are implying.
he was an all star at the time. He certainly seems to have regressed but it's not like he was literally a scrub at the time.

He used to not just lazily throw up jump hooks and he used to try harder at rebounds.
For whatever reason it seems like he just stopped trying.

He stopped trying way before that back when he was still playing for Indy.

His mental state has never been the same since the 2nd half of that season...

pshhh. kobe is force feeding him in the post. russel is trying to, unsuccessfully. but i agree with the scott, who just scratches his bald head on the sidelines, probably counting down the minutes til every game is over, so he can make more assisnine quotes to the press

Some say that Granger f*cked his girlfriend, if memory serves correct.

The Heat's starting front line was Bosh and Battier, both playing out of position. The Pacers were a nightmare matchup for the undersized Heat. Hibbert was also allowed to get away with murder (the infamous "verticality" series).

he put up 17 and 10 over 19 games in the play offs. I think it's fair to say it wasn't just the heat he was beasting against but he had a solid post season all round. Just a good match up vs the heat and he was in good form for that time period. He put up more rebounds and blocks the year before in the post season.
Can you really blame bosh though when it shouldn't be his job to guard someone like hibbert to begin with? Guarding bigger and stronger bigs was never his game.

They actually called it fairly for once and heat fans cried.

No. The things Hibbert got away with that series were ridiculous. Everyone could see it, and not just Heat fans.
