6'11 270 and 25 years old...my gosh, that is HORRID.

Queens better trade him while he still has value.

Most overrated player in the league right now. Team's going nowhere with him being the best player.

Agreed.

Shareef Abdur Rahim type shit.

Big numbers...big losses.

That is really mind-scratching, however Boogie has decided that he is the new Ray Allen so that might have something to do with it, but my goodness

True or False?

The Kings have won 30 games in a season, since having drafted Demarcus Cousins.

My initial thought is false, and upon investigation I discover the most they've gotten is 29; but if you don't like that, you don't like NBA basketball!

False. I think.

Correct!

Man, we talkin about 30 wins in a season. We talkin about 30 Ws. We ain't talking about playoffs, we talkin about winning 30 games.

He has to fight through triple teams every touch he gets because the rest of his team sucks-except for Casspi.

I never got the hype. And I hardly even had to watch him play. He's just clearly a mental reject. Do not count on those guys for your basketball team.

I don't know how many times teams have to get burned.

Averaging more 3pt attempts a game than Jamal Crawford doesn't help.

let's be real, his coach is probably telling him to take these 3s. I bet he knocks them down in practice.

so...Cousins shooting percentage was what you looked up and then made your "mission" today. Tell me about how Cousins plays, stalker. Besides the shooting percentage that you read...what actually makes him a 41.8%? I'll wait an eternity i'm sure.

warriorfan

its because he started shooting 3's

dmc never had a high fieldgoal percentage for a center anyways

part of the reason is he has a wide skillset so he takes more tough shots rather than solely lurking for putbacks and garbage points. your percentages will not be as high as someone who is playing like deandre jordan or dwight. but at the same time he is stretching the defense in more ways than those guys while scoring more.

he should reel it in and be more efficient though. there is no excuse for someone with his size and skills to be that inefficient.

rent free.

SG in his 20th season compared to a center in his prime. retard logic

Watched a lot of Kings this year because I'm a Rondo fan. This guy Cousins is a head case. Definitely not the best center in the league. However, he has to carry too much of the load from night to night. That mother fker Rudy Gay is inconsistent and not carrying his weight. From his body and skills, you'd think he's be up there closer to Bron or Leonard.

Having said all that, Cousins needs to get his emotions in check and lock in.

He is shooting 41.8 percent because he is making 418 baskets out of every 1000 shot attempts.

So he attempted precisely 1000 shots so far? That's neat.

He has to fight through triple teams every touch he gets because the rest of his team sucks-except for Casspi.

His PG is averaging 12/11/7 on 46% shooting and is even shooting 36% from 3.

His SF puts up 18/7 on 45% shooting.

Casspi is a top 3 floor spacer in the league.

Collison averages 13/4 off the bench, a top 3 backup PG in the whole league.

There are good players on this team. They don't fit and their coach sucks, but this team should be much better, and so should Boogie.

He's really not. A 7 footer standing on the perimeter and throwing up ill advised 3's is not "stretching the defense". It's just bad basketball.

He's attempted more three's this season (86) than he has attempted in every other season in his career combined and we aren't even half way through the season.

Honestly I think it's time for a change of scenery for that guy. He DOES need veteran leadership around him though for sure.

I never get this he needs "veteran leadership" line like all he needs is to be on the same team as KG and all his behavioral issues will be magically solved. He doesn't listen to or respect authority figures.

He needs a veteran All-Star/Superstar. Somebody that is as good or better than him, that can call him out on his BS. That's the only way Cousins ever becomes a legit franchise player.

I'm not sure.

A few years back I went to a Spurs-Kings game in April. Duncan was in street clothes because they were resting him with their seed already locked up. After the game the Spurs bench cleared but Duncan went and made a beeline for Cousins and they had a chat for about 5 minutes. I read the situation as Duncan going over to reach out to him as youngster and provide mentorship. Shaq has done likewise, I'm sure Divac has too. Who knows how many other older guys in the league have reached out?

The guy is just hard headed, maybe a veteran all star can get him to walk a straight line but no team in this league will win with DMC as the guy.

I don't really see it. If a guy has been in the league for as many years as he has and he's pretty much been the same this whole time, that's usually what you're gonna get out of him. I don't think that he's a championship kind of guy. I have nothing against him but I'm just going by what he's shown. That doesn't mean he's not a great player or any of that stuff but I wouldn't want him on my team.

GOBB
12-30-2015, 05:27 PM
Because he's avg damn near 4 3pt attempts per game. I mean he wasn't shooting great prior. 49% is his career best but he's always been a mid 40% FG shooter which to me I never understood. But you watch him and he loves shooting. And it seems this season he has been given the green light to shoot from down town. Why? One of the biggest bigs in the NBA, you should be abusing teams in the paint. Stupid. Cut out the 3pters entirely, start scoring more in the painted area. Real simple.
