:applause:

One thing I found interesting is he explains when he made Star Wars the story arc was so long it was written with 3 films in mind though he never thought he'd have the money to make 3 films so he borrowed elements from the final act (what would have been ROTJ) and glued them into the first act (a New Hope) to make it one complete movie.

Namely, that Obi Wan sacrifices himself in front of Luke at the hands of Vader. And that a death star needs / gets destroyed by the heroes. Fascinating because one of my biggest criticisms of ROTJ was that he "re-did" the death star gimmick. But his explanation makes it all come full circle. There wasn't even supposed to be a death star in A New Hope. And Obi Wan was supposed to be a returning figure in all the movies and confront Vader in the death star in ROTJ

Lucas has been rewriting the history of the Star Wars "saga" for decades now. He never intended to make a trilogy. He planned to make one film and then do various, unrelated sequels. He's a notorious bullshitter.

Lucas ruined careers

How so? Harrison was an obscure carpenter until Lucas gave him the role of a lifetime when he was 35. Since then he's become the biggest movie star of all time (just banked another $20-25 million off of Lucas' Star Wars character).

Hayden Christensen went from Golden Globe nominee before Star Wars to Razzie winner and starring in shitty indie films.

Natalie Portman lost a bunch of roles because of the prequels, but she was able to drag herself out of that hole and become successful. George almost ruined Natalie fvcking Portman's career.

Guinness asked to be killed off (probably because he disliked SW). But let's act like Lucas was pulling some incredible storytelling shit instead.

How you gonna post the mindblown gif for something something that's not even that impressive?

Blame that on his agents and lack of talent. What was Hayden doing before Star Wars?

Harrison Ford is Jesus?!?!?!

Bitches on his d*ck cuz he looks like Jesus.

Blame George's shitty directing that he couldn't get anything out of his actors, he actually made them worse. That's how bad he is. Hayden is actually a somewhat decent actor.

Watch Life as a House or Shattered Glass.

Shattered Glass was decent. But Christensen himself said he quit acting willingly. He also did Jumper and a bunch of other shitty movies.

Lucas launched the careers of the likes of Ron Howard and Harrison Ford. The original stars of ANH, who he plucked from obscurity (Ford used to build him cabinets) are still making millions in 2015 and beyond off of those characters Lucas created.

Opie Taylor

Lucas did kickstart Harrison Ford who played the villain in American Graffiti though

As others have noted, Lucas is full of shit. If Darth Vader was clearly that central to the SW universe, why was a non-force wielder like Moff Tarkin calling the shots in ANH?

Star Wars was a self-contained film, and Vader and Luke's father are clearly different people. Lucas should be grateful the dialogue left *just* enough room to retcon Vader as Luke's father, and even there he screwed it up with his idiotic "certain point of view" scene. If I were Luke, I would have told Ben to go eff himself with that explanation.

The hilarious thing about George Lucas is that he actually considers himself an artist.

Would've been the first time anywhere that someone told a ghost to go f*ck himself.
