Gents,
I have been a long time Android user (Nexus models only) and am getting turned off by ever increasing sizes. The new Nexus 6P has good specs but I am not digging the size. The new Nexus 5X is a good size, but the specs suck.
The other alternative is Apple iPhone 6S, good specs and size but not good price, but I can afford it.
What I would like to hear are opinions of those that were long time Android users that made the switch to iPhone. Did you like it or felt remorse?
I think I will miss Android and Google, but not sure how much yet!
Thanks Gents!
PS. I have Nexus 4 and the thing I hate is that it takes 3 minutes for the phone to start (load up and all) while my wifes iPhone 5S starts in 30 seconds.

I was an android user(galaxy s4) for 2 years before i made the switch to ip6s. It's boring as hell, but if you want a reliable phone it's perfect. The OS is simple and efficient. The premium feel to it is miles better than what i had before tho. I miss the customization but after awhile i got over it.
PS: iphone 6s is fast af bro. Battery could improve but you'll get thru the day.

I was an Android user, who switched to an iPhone and then switched back to Android.
I made the switched to iPhone because of the premium feel and because of the Apple hype. It was a big mistake because I couldn't do much on the iPhone as I would do in an Android.
Files I can save to an Android and retrieve it but I can't do that in an iPhone. It acts like an external harddrive because I access to the file system and connect to my laptop. I also didn't realized how much I missed not have the micro-sd storage.
My iPhone5 had a terrible battery life. I thought the iPhone was supposed to have longer batter that can last me a good 8 hours but I get around 6 or less. No power saving mode at all.
Also I can't change the default apps in iPhone. I hate Safari, Apple maps, music and video player. So many file extensions my iPhone won't play.
Printing is an issue also. I can't print to any network printers unless it's AirPlay enabled.
I am not saying iPhone is a bad phone. I just can't do so many functions which I can do with the Android. I was so glad to switch back to it once my contract was up.
Yah. I miss it a little. Not life changing.

I've also been a long time android user, most recently had an S4. Switched to an iPhone 6. I love the iphone bc it's simple to use and the iMessage texting is far superior to anything else. We're talking about being able to send any size gif! You can't do that on android bc of the weak ass 4mb sz limit.

It's dumb, I feel like these idiots spend so much money on research but the truth is right in front of them the entire time.

You can... but you gotta use Hangouts with it.
I'm in a group conversation with a bunch of iphone users and y'all sure love using your gifs

Why would you switch from Android to Apple?
I honestly can't think of a single reason, unless you just really like their phones for some reason.
If you're looking for a smaller phone, check out the Sony Z4.

It's the size, larger phones, that I don't like. I want something decent but not large.
The thing with non nexus phones like Samsung, LG, Sony android phones is their horrible updating. I got an LG phone once and they never upgraded the software. That's why I prefer Nexus android phones only, they get updates right away.

Google Hangouts, it's pretty much google's texting app. I think the gifs send with wifi. It's supposed to be a replacement for your normal messaging app. I use it with my google number and it messages everyone as if it's texts. You could text from your computer, just open up your gmail and voila! I think you can get Hangouts on iphones too.
Basically, if you have an old phone lying around... you could text or call from it (hangouts dialer). Install one in the bathroom or in the kitchen and you'll never be out of the loop

You're worried about Android version upgrades and you're gonna switch to IOS?
Might as well go back to Cupcake. :oldlol:

My wife's iPhone gets updated often, way more than my LG did, which was zero times.
