Depends on where from but if it's a jumper that's not close I'd be picking mutombo, Shaq or wilt

Man...Maybe Wilt from the corner on the right side.

Almost no possibility of a lucky banker and the right side is always harder for a right handed shooter. Especially an inexperienced(relatively) one like Wilt.

even then i really wouldn't feel good about it because these are professionals. i would say Bill Russell under the same circumstances(left side, corner) because he was a bad shooter but he has the killer instinct of a lion. i wouldn't risk it.

Well, so you're saying outside of 10 foot has no defender... **** if I know the correct answer to this question.

I'd have to look at stats showing where each player took the majority of their shots... but you can strike Chamberlain and Shaq off of my list... Mutombo might still be a possibility.

Lebron James. No questions asked.

LeBron probably shoots above 60% within 10 feet for his career, which is definitely where most of his shots have come from for the majority of his career. Additionally, his game winning shot attempt % has been average or above average for his career.

Wrong answer.

The two names that stick out to me are Bill Russel and Ben Wallace. Neither were known for offense so I think either taking a shot puts my life in good hands. Russel would be my number one pick though for sure. In any case though, my heart would be racing.
Does this help you out Orlando Magic?

Eh... I would like to know what distance the shot is from?
That is kind of an important detail.

Anyway... off my head I would probably let Mutombo take a 3pt shot from the top left corner or something.
Bill Russell might also be a good choice if we can make the shot a 3pt shot.

Were I given more time to think I might come up with some better choices.

I think it's just a general play, anything could happen, all things considered. All you know is that *** player feels the need to score and will do what he can to get it done and (unknowingly) end your life. Pretty much try and find the worst offensive 6+ time all-star or at least put up a good argument the against some other superstar unlike all these idiots with downsyndrome that just throw out "LeBron" like they think they're funny

I'm going with Mutombo or Gallatan.

Both are bigs that despite being 6x all stars can't create their shot as well as pretty much any of the other people I saw listed on that 6x+ all star list. I'm doing a lot of assuming with Gallatan as I haven't seen a lot of film but the testimony and footage that is available indicates he was an outstanding athlete but lacking in skill.

I'm not picking Bill Russell. That's a guy that could do anything he set his mind to do and even though he never prioritized offense for the Celtics he still put up peak Pau Gasol offensive numbers in his prime.

He holds the freaking record for highest FG% ever in an NBA Finals shooting over 70% from the field. No way I'm trusting him to miss if making it is his one and only focus on a given play.

I forgot about Nate Thurmond - put him on my list with Mutumbo and Gallatan.

TS doesn't factor in the changes in the game. I feel like you give all those players a uniform set of rules to make the play necessary to get a shot off those TS numbers would look radically different and you just want the players who are the worst at creating high percentage shots for themselves in such a situation. Give a Bob Cousy or a Slater Martin the ball when they can palm it and can't be touched brushing defenses off screens and they'll get a much higher percentage shot than they got in their own era.
