Ray allen is the best pure shooter ever. Bird and Miller were up there...but yeah Curry is on page to be GOAT.

Not Curry, he could be in a few years but right now you can't put him over players like Miller and Allen. I'm not saying he isn't GOAT material, but it's just too early in his career to crown him

Curry had/having 2 GOAT shooting seasons. But we probably may need a couple more seasons to finalize the deal as the GOAT shooter, which he probably will be.

Curry I've seen enough already to name him GOAT shooter.

Bird is No. 1 to me, but only just.

Curry will be in a couple of seasons if he maintains his absurdly great shooting.

Kobe

due to the degree of difficulty and him choosing to shoot contested shots voluntarily 99.9% of the time and managing to hit a high enough of a percentage to be one of the 5-6 greatest players ever

Kobe never had a good enough mid-range jump shot to be considered a great shooter

He was below average at it

People need to realize this is already Curry's 7th season and he has the 2nd highest 3 pt pct in history only behind Kerr. But comparing the two are comparing apples and oranges because Kerr was nothing but a spot up shooter who took 1.8 3s per game while Curry needs to create his own 3 pt attempts many times and is taking 6.8 3s per game so far in his career.

Curry has been consistently hitting .42% to .45% pct from 3 his entire career. The game has never seen a guy put up this many 3s, with this efficiency and the different ways he's shooting them. Guys like Allen and Miller were great but almost all their 3s were in set shots, not creating off the dribble. That's much harder to do. And you also add in the lightning release.

Just in terms of pure shooting ability, I would say it's Dusan Sakota.

Keep in mind that is just a typical every day thing for him.

I've seen clips before where he made 12/14 more than once during practice shooting drills.

Nah

In game shooting percentage has very little to do with pure shooting ability. Anyone that's played a lot of basketball knows that.

Curry and it isn't even close. He alone is redefining what shooting actually is.
