That was a great team who lost to the Lakers and had outplayed them in almost every game of that series. But I wonder why they didn't return to the WCF the following year? Was it injuries? Trades?
The next three seasons after that was followed up with
2nd round exit
2nd round exit
1st round exit
They had all the same players so was it that they just had a bad coach?

I want a response from someone who was 18 or older in 2002

Webber's health was the catalyst for never making it to the Finals, or even back to the WCF

The rigged game 6 got them good, and they never recovered.

Weren't they good the next year also, but Webber got hurt in the playoffs against the Mavs?
They were doing pretty well the year after also, I think Webber came back and the chemistry was ifffy. Of course Peja Stojakovic always came up small in the playoffs. GOAT shooter my ass, dude would routinely get locked up by Rick Fox :oldlol:

Key players like Divac & Christie were getting old.
They were still very good in 2003 but Webber got injured and missed the last 5 games of their 2nd round series VS a good Dirk led Dallas team.
Not surprising that they lost that series without him.
The fact that they pushed them to 7 w/o Webber was exceeding expectations.
Then in 2004 Webber got injured.
Made it back for the playoffs but Peak KG took them down in 7 games.
KG absolutely destroyed Webber in that series.
Then in 2005 they traded Webber for beans and lost some key guys to retirement. That was that.
Oh and Ray Allen killed them in the 1st round that year.
What a series.
