Do they beat the Celtics in the finals? I think they would. They would win in 2008,2009,2010. Kobe was injured in 2011 so no. They would also win in 2012 and 2013(Kobe wouldn't get injured playing so much minutes).

Odom is more talented and, perhaps in a vacuum, a little better but relative to the league he was in he is not.. I don't recall Odom ever being a borderline top 10 player like green.

Odom never even made an all star team or an all NBA team(not even 3rd team). Draygod will be an all star and at least all NBA 3rd team(I think he will make 2nd team).

Draymond would definitely have brought a toughness that the Lakers lacked that series

Leaving aside the comparison, Odom played a major role in the success of that Lakers team. Much greater than Bynum IMO

Odom had the potential and physical gifts to be greater than he was but never reached it.

Bynum was injured on THAT Lakers team.

On another note, yea, they would be better. Draymond is a better player than Odom was be a good amount. The reason that team lost is because they just didnt play together enough. Pau just joined the team mid season and they went to the finals...that is a really good result.

riiiight... maybe its because the 2008 Celtics are just better than those Laker teams? Just maybe?

Odom was a better offensive player inside and had better handles
Draymond has a better three point shot but not by much. He's also a better defender.

Odom was faster and more physically gifted too.

As a fan of the Western Conference (Minnesota, Seattle, and Suns), no the Lakers don't beat the Celtics in that 2007-2008 NBA Finals. The Celtics were just the better team that year. '09 & '10, yeah the Lakers still win. I am not sure about the 12 or 13 season. A lot depends on the coach, the development of Green, and the rest of the supporting cast around at that time. But the Lakers do not win in 2007-08 NBA Finals.

Seriously? People were having the same reactions when Odom was beasting
Heck, he put up 30-12 in his NBA debut, and averaged 17-8-4 in his rookie year, close to what Draygod is averaging now.

Draymond would be just another bench warmer playing with ballhog Kobe + under Phil's triangle offense.

Draymond would punch kobe in the face during practice the way Kobe treated Jeremy Lin.
