Arenas 42%fg, 35%3pt, 20ppg, 5ast, 4reb

Harden 44%fg, 36%3pt, 22ppg, 5ast, 5reb

both had massive contracts signed
both heavy iso players
both were chuckers
both played zero D
both had huge ego's
both coasted and had lazy tendencies

Would it even be surprising if we see Harden takes games off to a "fake/sissy" injury? (like Arenas)

Would it be surprising to see Harden get traded next year to a scrub team and completely fall off the radar? (like Arenas)

Arenas in his prime put up 50 and 60 point games on the regular and was Mr. Clutch.

Harden can never approach prime Arenas level of play.

Harden is more of the PG than Areanas ever was. Harden actually looks to pass the ball and gets his teammates involved, Arenas is primarily a scorer in his day. That's why one is able to take a team absent of an All-Star second option to the Western Conference Finals.

And compare their prime numbers, Harden's career averages are decisive because of his time in OKC.

Harden has had more success right now than Arenas had in his entire career.

Past 2007 - Arenas wasn't even the best player on his team, he couldn't even stay healthy for more than 30 games in a season

Arena's decline started in only his 6th year of his NBA career

Arenas 3yrs - 25+ppg

Harden 4yrs - 25+ppg

I don't think you ever watched prime Arenas play. He was a great passer, easily as good as Harden is.

He was a better scorer and more clutch too.

Harden is basically a poor man's Gilbert Arenas without the clutchness.

A better comparison for Harden is Kevin Martin.

I think if you go by TS% and shot clock usage we would conclude that Arenas is more similar to AI.
