Jordan was in his 13th season at 38 years old while Kobe's in his 20th. So basically Jordan had the same legs as 30 year old Kobe.

13th season Kobe - 27, 5 ,5
13th season Jordan 20, 6 ,5

Absolutely no comparison

According to Kobe fans they think if you don't play any seasons in the NBA, you don't age :lol

Guess Kobe didn't play 96, 97, 13, 14 then, so he's actually 34yo legs

lets really look at it

kobe played 17 straight seasons before missing most of his 18th and 19th due to injuries

jordan played

1985 ...then missed all of 1986

then jordan played 1987 to 93 and retired

then jordan came back after nearly 2 years and played 1996-98

then retired and came back 3 years later for 2002 and 2003

this is why jordan still had legs. dude took it light and easy his whole career... realistically jordan only played 11 seasons before his first wizards stint.

so jordan only needed 11 seasons to take more shots than kobe after 19

Jordan was even one of the MVP candidates before knee injury . In the 46 games that Jordan played in 01/02 before the injury, he averaged
25.1 - 6.2 - 5.3 - 1.5 - 0.5 on 42%

In his last 20 games up to the injury he averaged
27.5 - 6.4 - 5.2 - 1.3 - 0.5 on 44%

In his last 10 games up to the injury he averaged
29.7 - 6.6 - 6.1 - 1.2 - 0.3 on 47%

Wizards were 26-20 at that time (and Rip Hamilton was injured for 5 weeks) They were 19 game winning team a year before Jordan returned to basketball.

"The season is two weeks from its midway point, and the Washington Wizards (18-16) are on track to make the Eastern Conference playoffs. A team that won 19 games last season could eclipse that total this week.

Who else besides Jason Kidd, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett has been more important to his team? O'Neal and Chris Webber have been injured, and neither Tracy McGrady nor Vince Carter has elevated his team to the top of the Eastern Conference. Allen Iverson, the reigning M.V.P., is muddling through a disappointing season in Philadelphia.

Jordan, who has won five M.V.P. awards, is not in the running because of his numbers, which are All-Star caliber (24.2 points a game before last night's loss to Minnesota in which he scored 35) but not quite M.V.P. worthy. His recent back-to-back outbursts of 51 and 45 points have little to do with why he is a genuine candidate. Along with that surreal two-handed block of Ron Mercer nine days ago, those were merely blasts from the past."

Kobe is washed up after achilles injury.

Dumb logic is dumb.

38 year old legs are 38 year old legs and MJ has one of the 3 greatest chase down blocks in the history of the game at that age. What did Kobe ever block at 38 years old, other than block the chance for the lakers to make the playoffs...

If not for Jordan, the NBA would not be what it is today. So everytime you turn on a game, you can thank MJ and the fans who paid to watch MJ play.

No paying fans = no NBA salary = no MJ = no basketball in its current state.

You are welcome.

Yes, every player and future player coming into this league and making tens of millions of dollars should pay homage to MJ. He is the one who took this game to another level. Magic/Bird put the game on the national radar. MJ took it global.

Daaaaamn, that's that Nas song talking about Jay-Z stuff.

What I don't understand it, do Kobe people really think anyone (except them) is ever going to put Kobe in Jordan's league? I mean, all these years later he's still atop the Harris poll as top athlete, top bball player. His shoes still number one. Still fresh in people's minds though his last title was 18 years ago!!!

Do you Kobe guys REALLY think 18 years from now Kobe will be looked at anywhere near like Mike when he's not now, and never has been?

It's like you guys live in your own fantasy world where if you just say bullshyt that makes you feel good somehow it will translate to reality. Doesn't work like that.
