I had a chance to try it and it is phenomenal. Apparently it won 2015 whiskey of the year beating out whiskey's all over the world including high end scotches, bourbons, and top end single malts.
I can't find this stuff anywhere now and now on ebay bottles are going for over $100.

I even mixed with Coke which I never do. It was delicious. tasted like a Dr. Pepper. Anyone else give it a try?

I'm a bourbon guy. I love Woodford Reserve. I also like peaty scotches. Bowmore 18 year is one of my favorites.

As for this version of Crown Royal it started with a strong bite, but went away quickly and left a very sweet but peppery taste. that's why I had mentioned when I mixed with coke it tasted like Dr.Pepper. It's not as damaging to the palate as most Canadian band whiskey's that can only be taken with mix.

Try it first neat with a couple of cubes, then try it with coke. you'll get that same pleasurable experience.

You think bevmo or total whine could order this? They can order any type of alcohol, cant they?
Oddly enough my cousin found it at Costco in Vegas and bought it for $30 bucks. He lucked out and was there when they uncrated the palate. He bought 2 bottles. Drank one, liked it, went back and it was all gone,

I'm surprised non Canadian whisky drinkers coming to back me up on this. Always defending their beer. No love for the rye?

I drink it neat all say everyday. This was suggested and I loved it. It's not a single malt scotch so why not?

Yes

What's with the whisky snob attitude? This is the second time I've explained I always drink my scotch neat. Like I posted before, it's not a single malt scotch. This is a rye. It's very common to mix rye with coke. Have you even drank a rye wiskey before?

Lol. There's nothing more worthless than awards for liquor. You're a dumbass if you put any stock in them.

This award is actually prestigious and well acclaimed in the whisky world. I guess people are just as stupid to gauge acting and movies based on Academies as well? That's a pretty exaggerated means of trying to disagree with me deuce.

Whisky is the umbrella way of spelling it. Whiskey is the evolved American spelling. True whisky SCOTCH drinkers spell it whisky

Lol, I know right? Throw a little coke in your rye and these kids lose it. I guess if you're not familiar with something that makes it comical

I've read the same thing about it, but haven't tried it yet.

I usually prefer single malt scotch, but I would give it a try for sure if I came across it.

For the past year I've been really getting into Peaty scotch, mostly from the Islay region. Stuff like Lagavulin, laphroaig, octomore. Goes great with a good cigar after a steak, wow I could go for some right now
