Carrol with knee surgery. probably wont be back til right before the playoffs, and not back in game shape til mid first round (?)

Jval finally back after missing a month. DD a free agent this summer? What do you guys want to see from your team? Another first rd exit wouldnt surprise anyone, so keep the team as is and see what you can do? or make some changes?

Lakers.

CP3 blocked
Everyone injured (Nash, Dwight, Gasol, Kobe, Artest etc.)
Kobe's body destroyed
New fresh start, new rookie. BOOM broken leg.
More injuries for everyone

This season is the first in a while *knocks on wood* where there hasnt been some sort of major set back.

**** out of here

Lakers have the most success over the last 15 years and your crying about a lil rebuilding

signing Dwight and him getting hurt wasn't bad luck it was bad management

nash and kobe getting hurt at their advanced ages is somewhat expect or at minimum not surprising

Cp3 deal was botched by the league they should have put rules in place once they owned a team on how to deal with player personal moves but instead were left reactionary.

I'm talking about recent bad luck. If we're gonna talk about franchises since the 1900's, then sure.

This lil rebuilding has turned iinto a big rebuild because of the bad luck the Lakers have had. Kobe had one of his best seasons prior to destroying his achilles... then his knee.... then his shoulder.

Gasol has never been more injured in his life than in that last season with Nash and Dwight.

Nash got injured on the 3rd or 2nd game into the season by bumping knees with Lillard, had a decent season before it.

Carroll has been disappointment and the injuries don't help looking down the line. Valanciunas was playing really well before his injury, the Raptors had a mini-Big 3 going on. DeRozan should resign with a max contract, unless he decides he's going elsewhere.

They obviously still need to make moves and they are under the cap and have 4 first rounders the next 2 drafts. Should either decided to continue to get younger players or package them for another great player. Since there has been no move for a tank and more geared to help the branding/team structure, the team will want to win now and eventually go further in the playoffs.

As of now, the team will go as far as Lowry and DeRozan can take them... which hasn't been out of the first round yet. It wouldn't surprise me if the team lost to anybody in the first round.

I'd be surprised if the Raptors even make it to the second round. Definitely going to be a first round exit this year. :rant

I think I would trade all of that misforunate to have the Sonics back in Seattle. Talk about bad luck? Imagine selling the team and the new owner says he'll keep it in Seattle, then in less than 2 years move it.

"What's good, Raptor fans?"

short answer: nothing

They need 1 reliable bench player outside of Joseph. Too often Patterson and Ross offer absolutely nothing, and they are supposed to be the answer from the bench.

DeRozan is just not the number 1 option on a championship team

He's not even the number one option on this team. We're a relatively solid group but we're far from elite and lack in various departments that would help us get over that hump. Scola has been a pleasant surprise this year but we could seriously use an upgrade in the 4 spot. I agree with Yeaaaman man in regards to Pat and Ross. We rely on these guys to threaten the perimeter but neither brings with them any measure of consistency. Ross is a proven mental midget who burns under pressure. The fact that he goes out of his way to verbally retaliate/acknowledge the trolls who scoff at him on IG is a testament of this. Come playoff time, I fully expect him to crumble and disappear as he has in the past.

Bro... Up 4-0 in Anaheim as we speak and winners of 3 straight.

Meet me on Yonge to start the Stanley Cup parade?

Problem is, Raptors have to over pay Derozan or let him walk. I think it's his contract year isn't it?

Indeed it is. And he's earned a major pay hike. He seems quite content here in Toronto so I'm expecting Masai to lock him up (worth it or not)

Would be interesting to see him finally playing for a winner. I feel like the losing culture in Sacramento really messes with his head sometimes. You guys showed so much promise early on last year.

Nothing more handsome than being the best player in the league

I am pretty much done with the Kings, I stuck by for a while, but Vivek and Vlade are just horrible

Scoring option, yes, not the best player.

I agree with Freeman, Boogie for JV, Ross, and a first rounder or whatever more ?... Probably could work in theory, but we'll see what happens.

Also, if we're giving away Ross and Patterson, the team needs to find 3 point shooters coming back their way. They would be currently down to just Lowry has their lone consistent 3 point threat with Carroll also out with injury. I doubt the team would turn into San Antonio over night by just trading their 3 point specialists.

Carroll got 4 years $60 million. Tristan Thompson was seeking the max in the off season.

DeRozan is on pace to finish possibly with 23/4/4 on some solid efficiency, so if he can keep that up for a good chunk of his prime, I'm all for overpaying him if he wants to stay.
