Why would it be 25 ppg when Jordan averaged over 30 for his career?

Why would it be 25 ppg when Jordan averaged over 30 for his career?

because it has to do with individual seasons in which a player won a title and jordan didnt average over 30 in both the season and playoffs for all his rings

infact he missed out on 2 years

because that does not fit the agenda of OP

the agenda/criteria is promoting an average for a year someone won

if we're just going based on career averages then wilt is the closest one with 30ppg regular season career except when wilt won he never averaged over 30ppg so then why the hell are we talking about it?

if we make the criteria "number of titles with both 30ppg season/playoffs" for a michael jordan award then nobody else would even qualify

jordan was by far the biggest hog of all time. nobody can compete with him

so we have to make it 25+

does that explain it?

you absolute shit of a human being

you're still a mentally deranged f@ggot

or i make complete sense and you cant wrap your mind around why someone would make the criteria something actually attainable

ok genius... and the WINNER! for the FIRST! michael jordan award IS!... nobody!!! since nobody else has had a season over 30/30 for both season and playoffs!. yay!

even though jordan didnt always average over 30,30 himself. its the criteria for everyone else. and nobody has done it

so there is no award

since anything kobe can be applauded for is deemed unnecessary to the point where outlandish levels of stupidity have to cover it up

:lol

False

The true Michael Jordan Award is MVP + FMVP in the same season

MJ- 4 times (1991, 1992, 1996, 1998)

LeBron 2 times (2012, 2013)

Kobe- ??????

There should be an efficiency standard for such an award.

25+ppg isn't that impressive if it comes on Iversonesque efficiency.
I think .54 or .55% is a good cut-off.

So Kobe's 02 run doesn't quite make the cut (51%TS) (49%TS pre-Finals).

False

The true Michael Jordan Award is a positive finals win %.

Michael Jordan: 6/6 - 100%
Kobe Bryant: 5/7 - 71,4%
Lebron James: 2/6 - 33%

jesus christ, your IQ is really like 30 points below everybody's.

if you make it 29ppg, kobe wouldn't even be on the list while shaq would have one.

make it 28ppg, shaq gets two of them and kobe only gets one, tied with ricky barry and george mikan.

if it's brought down to 27ppg, shaq would still lead.

but that doesn't fit your agenda, so your dumb ass made it 25ppg.

stop operating with a retarded agenda.

I like this.

But maybe add scoring to that since that's Jordan was best known for his scoring.

Championship, F-MVP, Scoring Title in the Same Season:
Jordan - 4

Kobe - 0
LeBron - 0

Actually never mind...this would be such a small list. :(

Only Kareem in '71 & Shaq in '00 would make that list

The Kobe Award would be for players with the most missed shots during a championship run.

Jordan played in the worst era for scorers ever

So his scoring titles are void

Heck anyone of us on ISH could probably be top 10 in scoring in the 90's

No, the D was so good back then that it was difficult for scorers. Jordan was just so good, that he could overcome it and drop huge scores. He was average near 40 this season.

Hmm, considering MJ made his mark scoring THIRTY plus every title run, wouldn't that be more appropriate, OP? No?

jordan award...? That would be more like having a season of being the best player in nba with mvp, fmvp, 1st all-nba, 1st all-defensive etc... doesnt look good for kobe, he has more pippen awards...

brain drain

LOL. I was entering this thread fully expecting it to be about some kind of jerk of the year award.

The MJ award would be this:

1) FMVP
2) Win the scoring title in the regular season
3) Average over 30 PPG in the playoffs
4) All-NBA 1st team
5) All-NBA Defensive 1st team

MJ did this every time he won a ring.

Actually, MJ did it 6 times, not 4.

Actually, MJ did it 6 times, not 4.

He means winning both MVP & FMVP (F-MVP).
