Are you saying Wade intentionally played bad? Even if he put up his regular season averages (or playoff averages up until that point), do you really think the Heat would have won? It's not as if Wade's sub par play was the deciding factor. The Heat were pretty much destroyed in all phases.

15/4/3/2 on 50%TS is certainly below his standards, but it isn't some kind of historically bad performance like you make it out to be. Again, even if he put up 20/5/5 on good efficiency the Heat aren't winning that series.

Not only was Wade AWFUL on offense, but he played possibly the worst defense I've ever seen in a Finals series. Guy was just completely useless in all areas of the game.

No, because I acknowledged Wade was bad in 2014, whereas you blame everyone but Lebron for 2011.

Wade's defense was no worse than any Heat player outside of Lebron, and even Lebron's defense was sub par. It was a systematic dismantling, not the result of individual poor play.

I still don't see how Wade playing better would have made a bit of difference. It wasn't a competitive series. The game 1 hypothetical is stupid. You're blaming Wade for not single handedly winning the game against a collection of HOFers, which is ridiculous.

How about this. I'll lay 100% of the blame on Wade for 2014 if you lay 100% of the blame on Lebron in 2011. Don't talk about Lebron having better stats because that would contradict your previous point (Lebron was also in his prime). Each player had 3 good to great finals performances and each player cost the Heat a title.

Otoh, it isn't Wade's fault that his assists are lowered by Lebron's presence.. And unfortunately, Wade's diminished playmaking capacity from playing alongside Lebron is more of factor against the best teams, where the best brand of basketball usually wins.
