Basically says she supports it because the SC is the supreme authority on law. Which is how people should feel about the SC, what's funny to me are the libs celebrating her comment and saying see she's right! The SC is who we should listen to! And then refuse to accept that the SC has upheld gun ownership rights time and time again.

Megyn Kelly is sexy with how quick and passionate she can come back on somebody but she needs to chill with eye rolling and having that typical bitch face anytime she disagrees with ppl.

I'm sure the FOX Producers encourage it as that is 'her thing' but it takes someone who is a smart lady with a law background and makes her look like any ol regular dumb **** with an attitude

Nobody cares about gay marriage.

We only discuss the merits of trannys.

The SC is the supreme authority on the Constitution and Constitutional Law. Not the supreme authority on all laws everywhere :facepalm

Look up the 10th amendment. Then tell me where in the Constitution you see anything about marriage; gay or otherwise.

Basically says she supports it because the SC is the supreme authority on law.
The job of the Supreme Court is to issue rulings concerning whether or not a certain law is constitutional.

So if a law made by a state or the federal government goes against something in the Constitution, they are to render it null and void.

Before this decision, there was nothing in the constitution prohibiting the states from restricting marriage to one man and one woman.

Therefore their decision was wrong.

However, now that they have made the decision, there now IS something in the constitution that so prohibits the states: the decision, in itself, put it there.

So, were they wrong?

The answer is yes. The Supreme Court is not logically incapable of ruling wrongly. There is a body of US Constitutional law that is supposed to confine the Supreme Court's actions. They went outside those boundaries. In doing so, they changed the constitution from what it was before.

But there isn't anything anyone can do it about it now, unless the Supreme Court itself overrules this decision in a future case.

Like they did when they overturned Dred Scott. Which said that since the author of the Declaration of Independence did not mean to include black people in the phrase "all men are created equal," black people did not count as "men" and therefore did not have Constitutional rights.

Or do we have to defer to the "supreme authority on law" for that matter, as well. Were blacks therefore not men until that case was overturned? What? Does reality change according to the whims of those nine men?
