There's a shortage of franchise-vested Lakers fans here for the same reason as any other faction: this is the most superstar-centric basketball board out of any premier one on the Internet--mostly due to all the leeway that's afforded to them with the rife of agenda-driven threads.

Superstar-less games are never bound to have much traction on this site, so it should come as no surprise that no threads were immediately created while Kobe and potential superstar-in-the-making D'Angelo "Latent Talent" Russell have been sidelined.
