Probably a topic that's been done to death, although I haven't seen one pop up in a minute. :confusedshrug:

I've been watching since the 97-98 season. I probably saw a handful of games before that season and a few years before that, but actually sitting down and watching/comprehending what was going on? The 97-98 season.

You guys?

Since about 1985. I remember the Lakers winning the ring the first year I started watching the NBA, then the Celtics winning beating the Rockets in 1986 after the Houston upset LA. But, I didn't see that many games back then. I started watching it more in the 1986-1987 season, wanting to see the Lakers (who were the first team I ever liked) bounce back. I watched quite a few games that season, and back then, the NBA really pushed their players in their commercials and promos. That's when I first saw some dude who were the number 23 in Chicago. Believe it or not, but I wasn't big on him then.

But, I really REALLY got into the NBA in the 1987-1988 season. That's when I saw that guy in Chicago play for the first time. Just so happens, that's the year his team finally started to take off. I was still a Lakers fan (and really, I still am to this day, but Chicago is my favorite), and I was happy as shit to see Magic Johnson lead his team to the first repeat in the NBA in 20 years, but Chicago started drawing me in. That was my freshman year in high school, and my years in high school paralleled with Chicago getting better and better each season. The Bulls finally won their first title the year I graduated high school.

But yeah, that's my NBA story.

Been a fan of the Raps since their inaugural season in 95. Attended a bunch of games when we were still playing in the Skydome which was always a strange experience. I wasn't until about 99ish where I started to gather a more cognitive understanding of the game.

I was just a kid prior.

95-96 is when I decided I wanted to watch every game. I watched more college before that (I was young and my parents were only into UK basketball), but when MJ came back I really wanted to see him in action. I became obsessed with the nba at that point.
