It's awesome in that Kobe can say I won 2 without Shaq.

Meanwhile Lebron can say I never won shit without Wade and never will win shit without wade.

Jordan can say I won 6 with Pippen and that he told Pippen that if he practiced with him everyday before regular practice (see breakfast club) that he would guarantee victory when they got to the finals. (the man didn't know how to lose if he was in the finals)

Having witnessed all this... wow what a time to be alive!

Agreed. Both men were loyal to their teams but Duncan won a ring in 3 different decades as the man....that says it all right there.

when was the last time a guy averaged 29/8/4 and didnt win finals mvp

especially when his next best teammate is averaging 10 less ppg and scores most of his points off open looks created by that 1st option

:oldlol:

efficiency is nice n all but theres a reason why he was efficient

as a #1 option gasol is 0-16

kobe was far and away the most important player in that series. he changes everything.

kobes the one holding pierce and allen to 8 for 30 in game 7

kobes the one holding allen to 0 for 13 in game 3

gasol is nice but the real test was on the perimeter in the nba finals

Duncan > Kobe

top 50 player all time, 4 time champion, NBA finals mvp tony parker was duncans teammate

not shaq

:lol

and duncan also had the best coach of all time for every year in his career

along with great role players and another legend named manu ginobili

and for his 1st ring he had david robinson

and for his last ring he had the new best all around player in basketball kawhi leonard

manu ginobili averaged 20ppg on 60% in the 2005 finals wins for san antonio

duncan averaged 20ppg on 40%

and manu was the leading assist man

then in 2007 parker won fmvp

then in 2014 kawhi won fmvp

pretty sure duncans had more than just parker... and it was more of a duncan riding his teammates sorta thing

I am a Spurs fan more than a player fan, unlike yourself. Duncan, at age 40, is the 2nd most important player on a championship caliber team. Meanwhile, Kobe is having one of the worst seasons ever. Good day.

hes averaging like 7 or 8 points and didnt even have a point or a rebound in games this year

lebron shot 27% from beyond 5 feet the entire nba finals

which is basically like going 6 for 24 in 6 straight games

atleast kobe used his 1st team all defense to make up for it. cant say the same for leLazy who missed out on both teams last year

lebron couldnt get to the rim most of the time though. thats the problem

if he shot 27% beyond 5 feet on jumpers and still managed to have a positive impact. then i'd let it slide

the problem is he shot like 35% overall... and shot a ton of those 27% jumpers to the point where he shot his team out of a championship

No shit he couldn't get to the rim everytime. When an entire teams defense is geared towards one player you can't get there everytime.

I bet you couldn't even dribble yourself out of a double team.
