View Full Version : If season ended today
This is how the bottom 5 teams in the draft would be ordered before the lottery process is drawn
1. Sixers
2. Lakers
3. Celtics via Nets
4. Pelicans
5. Wolves
Where are you coin? Firedavidkahn? And a few other shit talkers that have so much to say about the sixers losing. Lottery reform needed? It's a disgrace to see the same franchise year on year out in the lottery?
Floor is all yours. And no I'm not worried over no sudden turn around where the lakers and wolves don't finish bottom 5. So this will not be a thread you bump and laugh. Don't throw rocks in glass houses.

Wolves and Kings deserve a lot of backlash. Doesn't mean the Sixers won't get as much.

No shit it doesn't mean the sixers don't deserve to get any. It means those two teams get NONE.

Amazon has a good deal on reading and comprehension boosts. Order some. Point is the posters who talked mad shit about the sixers find themselves watching their own team at the top of the lottery...again and again. Hilarious to me.

Well, I think (finally) the Wolves should break the playoffs if Towns can become a superstar next season or in his 3rd.
The Kings are a just mess. Nothing looks promising outside of Cousins, who should probably just get dealt.

I hope the Celtics get the top pick, because they aren't blatantly tanking like the 76ers or Lakers.
The 76ers have had top picks for the last 3 years, and they drafted 3 Centers who can't even play on the same court together. It's embarrassing really. I mean, the TWolves tanked hard for a few years, but at least they have a legit core now to build around. The 76ers have next to nothing to show for their tanking efforts, unless they can manage to trade 2 of their unproven Centers for something of value.

I sure as hell don't, but can't deny the possibility of that seriously happening.

agreed about cousins. would love to see him in a different environment to see if his potential is being stunted from being on a dysfunctional franchise or if it really solely lies on him. however, the kings are only 2 games out of the 8th seed and 3.5 out of the 7th. They can have a big 2nd half of the season (if they do intend to keep him) and can make that playoff push.

A core that continues to lose and see lottery. I'm jealous
2013 - s.muhammed/G.Dieng
2014 - wiggins/lavine
2015 - towns/jones
Traded for A.Payne from the 2014 draft class.
Result as of today? 12 wins

Sixers management has been plain that their plan is to keep their team young, clueless, and losing, so that they can take the best player available every draft. That's the extent of their plan.
Pelicans made an effort to be decent. Were supposed to be a playoff team but they've been hurt and underachieving.
Nets are a depressing and hopeless situation, but nobody cares about them, and they're spending money. It's not that they didn't try.
The Wolves are barely bottom-5 and they're on the way up. They took on Garnett, Prince, and Miller to be mentors for their 3 best young guys. They'll improve and they deserve to.
The Lakers are really bad. But they're not relying on the draft, they're relying on free agency and their franchise's reputation, which is a good bet and has worked out for them multiple times.
The Sixers are trying something that's totally without honor or sense and that hasn't ever worked.
On another note, can you even imagine what would happen to the league if the Pelicans got Simmons?

I don't care about the Pelicans or Nets. In fact the Nets made some of the leagues worst moves in NBA history. I dont need to break down how many terrible decisions went down. But that's ok according to you because they "tried". You never once thought some of the moves they were TRYING were dumb to begin with? Or it still doesnt matter right? They tried. :oldlol:
This is targeted towards the Lakers and Wolves fans, specifically the ones talkin shit. Not the entire fan base because some said nothing. I highlighted a couple names in my posts. Can't find those dudes. Wolves are on their way up, despite winning only 12 games thus far. Whats the Jeffersons theme music? MOVING ON UUUUUUUUP. (sarcasm).
Lakers banking on free agency and its failed. Who have they signed of significance? i'll wait. This is year 3 in the lottery and I'd bet money via paypal they are in lottery 2017. So dont feed me banking on free agency and how its a good bet. Buss has hurt that franchise. When he goes they will go (win).
What Sixers are doing is playing the lottery like many americans. Banking they score big in a 5 year time frame of elite caliber talent. That is how the system is designed. If you want to win? Draft high and get lucky. The best players in the NBA are generally from the top of the draft. Not the middle, not the bottom, not second round. Fans cant agree to the tanking because its never been done blatantly/openly. But you're a fool if you think franchises havent done it quietly. No honor or sense in what the Sixers are doing. But tons of honor and sense in what the Nets did? Think on that for a second. Billy King should do federal time for the mess they created. They are literally BAD and will reap no benefits from it because Boston owns their pick UNPROTECTED. Answer me this, the players they added while mortgaging the future? How many are there when the smoke cleared? :confusedshrug:
As far as Pelicans and Ben Simmons that would be crazy.

Funny thing is we have only qualified for the lottery for 3 years whereas you get teams like the Wolves who have been doing it for almost a decade.
Not to mention if the Sixers were purposely tanking then why in those last 3 years have they not finished last despite having the least talented roster? Nor did they ever get the first pick?
They haven't even been able to field these picks to even gauge what types of success they would have. Meanwhile top picks on relatively healthy teams post a similar record? Some of you don't make any sense.
