Obama did SOME things that were small positives overall. Because he has to.

Obama couldn't just come in and do EVERYTHING Bush did. Otherwise it would expose the facade. He pushed things like gay marriage, a whacked out healthcare system that was titled "Affordable" so all the people cheered, he did a couple little environmental things. Hey, Bush gave more money to Africa than any President. If you give Obama credit for those little frivolous things, why not Bush?

You took Bush to task for the hard shit. The war, the spying, the tax cuts, the deficit, the corruption. OP won't take Obama to task for any of that, because Democrats pretend to give a shit about blacks or something, or claim they wanna give people more money (without ever producing the results, not surprisingly).

This "America is the GOAT, it's just how it be" speech might go down as the GOAT speech in American history, and this is coming from an Obama hater.

Depending on who you talk to (sometimes the same person), Obama is either a communist hellbent on destroying the country with over-reaching executive decisions that undermine the Constitution or a weakling who can't get his own party together, much less unite the world in common causes.

I would argue that he has achieved quite a bit over the course of his presidency, especially considering the obstructionist congress that can't seem to agree on the day of the week. You may not agree with those policies, but he has hardly been a lame duck.

Hell, I haven't agreed with all the policy decision... far from it. But he's certainly preferable to the alternative. And, as an orator, he is the best of my lifetime (presidential-wise).

The ultimate irony of Obama's presidency is that after years of being accused of "weakening America", his administration might end up being a global failure because the US is doing too well compared to the rest of the world.

America is looking very strong. But meanwhile, China's economy is collapsing, the EU is slowly but surely unraveling, Russia just shot itself on the foot, and the Middle East is in flames. (You could also mention Brazil which is going through tough times, and of course Africa, always a mess)

As we enter 2016, the US is in an overwhelmingly dominant position. It has no real rival contesting its supremacy... but no real cooperative partners either. Its success is achieved at other countries' expense, which isn't sustainable.

Eventually the international system (currency, trade rules, taxation, everything really) needs to be redesigned before it gets too lonely at the top... Global disorder will come back to hit the US hard otherwise. We need to get into post-WW2 "building" mode before WW2 style destruction happens this time.. and if history is a good guide, that's pretty unlikely.
