good series. i just started watching it last week.

note that the youtube ones are mini-episodes (about 3-4min). you can watch the full-length episodes (about 21min) on places like this (http://thewatchseries.to/serie/adam_ruins_everything).

the one about the female hymen was pretty funny and informative. adam definitely wrecked my reality on that one. :D

Not just what he's saying, but the way he delivers it is just absolutely hilarious to me. I've seen the full length episodes on TV, they're great. TV, or online the ones that touched on breakfast cereal, and circumcision got me...That Kellog guy was a real ass hole XD

hah, i just finished the nutrition episode. kellog is a crazy dude that more people should know about since his work eventually led to the breakfast cereal age... which is pretty much a huge, unhealthy scam.

adam's flamer, energetic style is also perfect for this show since he has to move from point to point so quickly. this show is kind of snappier, more fun replacement for mythbusters now that it's done.

Definitely recommend people watch that episode. This isn't from the show, but to people reading unaware of Kellog

"In the young United States, one of the most ardent anti-*********ers was a Michigan physician named John Harvey Kellogg. The good doctor was a bit uncomfortable about sex, thinking it detrimental to physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. He personally abstained from it, and never consummated his marriage (and may have actually spent his honeymoon working on one of his anti-sex books). He and his wife kept separate bedrooms and adopted all of their children.

Sex with your wife was bad, but *********ion was even worse. “If illicit commerce of the sexes is a heinous sin,” Kellogg wrote, “self-pollution is a crime doubly abominable.” In Plain Facts for Old and Young: Embracing the Natural History and Hygiene of Organic Life, he cataloged 39 different symptoms of a person plagued by *********ion, including general infirmity, defective development, mood swings, fickleness, bashfulness, boldness, bad posture, stiff joints, fondness for spicy foods, acne, palpitations, and epilepsy.

Kellogg’s solution to all this suffering was a healthy diet. He thought that meat and certain flavorful or seasoned foods increased sexual desire, and that plainer food, especially cereals and nuts, could curb it. While working as the superintendent at Michigan’s Battle Creek Sanitarium, he hit upon a few different healthy eating ideas. Two became breakfast staples and one (thankfully) didn’t."

Have you watched "nathan for you"? If you enjoy comedy, you'll enjoy this brilliant bastard. I highly recommend it.

@highwhey,
i just watched the S03E03 "the movement." pretty hilarious and cringey at the same time. i like nathan's dry-humor / surreal approach.

what i'm curious about is how much of that was made-up and how much of that was parody, etc. that is-- did that fake book really get published on amazon and did "jack garbarino" actually appear on all those news programs? was the guy who ran the moving company for real, and did those three unsuspecting people really do a moving job for free? (lol)

of course it doesn't really matter in the end, but it did make me curious.

If you search on amazon you'll see his book was actually published. There's always threads on reddit from users researching this stuff and proving it to be real.

There's another episode where he staged a fake video and it went viral, even news stations were broadcasting the video.

As for his dry humor, i am mostly attracted to that type of comedy. Nathan has said many a times that his character is on screen is a slightly exaggerated version of his true character in life. So to a lesser degree, we are watching the real nathan. Check out the private detective episode, nathan trolls this guy and what makes it funny is that this PI actually has his own show on A&E exposing people as a Private Investigator. :oldlol:

In one of his episodes he started a clothing company "summit ice" to raise awareness of the holocaust. Within 2 months this apparel company generated 300k in sales. So yes, pretty much everything he does is real.

This dude reminds me of Alton Brown.

there would be inevitable backlash... lawsuits, vendettas and logistical problems. "why are those cameras recording us doing our workout, and is the release i signed for the thing that's -actually- being depicted?" "i'm a private detective, but i'm going to start talking about my penthouse magazine shoot for no particular reason!"

not to mention jack garbarino: "in the event that i die, i grant you full authority to use my likeness... and to clone me if necessary! nobody noticed me working out in the gym while i was being shown on the monitor doing a talk show at the same time. this is the most inconspicuous wig / beard ever, and i have nooo problem wearing it for all my future workouts." :lol

nah, i think the whole thing is a put-on from beginning to end, but it does indeed spin out small media projects and performance art that become latched on to by social and mainstream media. that explains the book, the videos and the press, while not actually hurting or scamming anyone. redditors and whoever else can believe that any part of it is real or satire and it still doesn't matter, because it's all part of the gag.

Haha yes. Wish netflix would have done an additional season
