Hall of Fame level Power Forwards get their production reduced greatly as soon as they have to play with LeBron.

Happened to Bosh (24/11 in the year before lebron, 18/8 next year after lebron joins his team)

Happened to Love (26/12 in the year before lebron, 16/9 next year after lebron joins his team)

LeBron ball destroys the production of his teammates.

It's official.

He has put up 7 and 10 this game. Am I missing something?

He has been quite poor defensively, but he is doing okay out there.

why don't they trade him for ryan anderson, they don't use k-love properly and ryan would fit that role better.

Cavs need a trade to close the gap on SA.

You can't have Love shrinking and Irving playing no D and expect the rest of the team to carry the load.

Thompson is a big time player. If it wasn't for him, Cavs would be a very soft team.

IMO they need more muscle and tough guys.

Kevin Love was better offensively in the 4th quarter than Lebron was.

His problem is he gets lit up on defense whoever he tries to guard. Dude is a liability on the defensive end and the Spurs were targeting him in the 4th.

U get more years out of Love than Melo, plus a solid front court with Love/Porgasm. Melo is in Limbo with the Knicks, he needs a win now team, Cavs are in that position for his legacy

I feel for Ms.Love because her man doesn't have a D in him to play.

idk bout that, melo loves the porz and k-love would ruin the knicks.

love is a gimmick.. he gets garbage buckets, cant create and is so undersized to play help defense at the 4.. just a stub. Only thing he has a great knack for is rebounding but even there his stamina is poor, and he wore out and got beat up as the game went on.

Would this improve the team though?

Love is overqualified for his role, but so is everyone on the Cavs. They would do just fine with Lowry instead of Irving, Chalmers or Hinrich instead of Delly, any big man making half what TT makes instead of TT, any 25 year old scrub SF instead of Richard Jefferson, etc etc. And yet here they are with all this talent. It's expensive, but it's difficult to dump salary. And it's enough to win a title. Why mess with it?

He's a PF with a really high offensive IQ. Great passer that gets the Cavs machine rolling; sets picks and can hit the pop shot from 3 or midrange; finishes in the paint. Rebounds well. Can't defend a cardboard box, of course, but teams have won titles with terrible defensive PFs before (2011) and they always have TT as a backup if the other team's PF gets going.

Also remember that this is a pace and space league. There are no defensive-minded teams any more. Teams like the Warriors that are though to have good defense: their games are still shootouts. Every game has 5 wide open dunks or layups in the halfcourt by both teams. The spacing, switching, and ball movement makes defending the paint basically impossible. And most teams aren't doing very much in the post. In this league, having a defensive liability in the frontcourt isn't as much of a problem as it was 10 years ago, when it was Shaq and Duncan's league, and most teams' game plan was to give it to their SG in an iso and attack the paint.

I'm a huge New Orleans, Cleveland, and Ryan Anderson fan. He would be a perfect fit on the Cavaliers with LeBron he is a total knock down shooter from anywhere on the floor.

The team's best lineup includes TT and he eats up rebounds which could make up for the drop off between the two. Ryan is a better spot up shooter and slightly better defender which basically covers up for K-love and makes the team better overall. The cavs don't need a passer at the 4 they need a knock down shooter that isn't a super liability defensively. Most of K-loves talents are wasted on the Cavs.

Question. Has any previous "star" actually gotten better when they played with Lebron?
