Pelicans aren't going anywhere and they are expiring? What teams do they go to at the deadline?

a Ryan Anderson sign sounds like something Houston would do

Ryan Anderson fits almost every team in the league.
From New Orleans point of view I think they should try for a Rudy Gay or Harrison Barnes type. Not sure who wants to clear cap space by trading for Gordon. Don't think anyone sees him as anything more than an expirer. So many teams still in the playoff hunt atleast in the east so nobody wants to quit on it yet.
For me I want to see
Anderson + Jrue
For
Calderon, Langston Galloway, and 2018 unprotected 1st

The cavs would win the chip with Ryan Anderson. What could they give up to get him? Perfect for them. Spot up shooter, mobile pf, good rebounded, etc. Allows them to go small, and have him do what Kevin Love does now (which he does better than Love), then that allows Love to go down low and do what he is better at.
I would love him on the Heat. So underrated.

its incredible, look at this roster:
Anderson, Asik, Cole, AD, Evans, Gordon, Jrue Holliday, Ajinca
this team should be right there to fight for the 4th spot with Clippers.
Anderson is progressing every year and he will get better and better. He can shoot and play iso. he just needs to penetrate more often. His Defense is already mediocre, not bad at all.
Ryan Anderson is way more value than his 8 million. He will ask at least for 12 million a year. Does Houston even have room for him?

Anderson is a solid stretch four, something every team in today's league could use, he will be a coveted commodity.

Anderson should go to the Cavs, he is a Bran-Chris Bosh/Kevin Love type of player even without Bran Ball.

Not sure, but the Pelicans would be really stupid not to try to move everyone on their roster this season.
And I mean everyone worth anything.
Maybe someone gives up a 2nd rounder for Gordon. Maybe someone gives you a young player and a future pick for Anderson.
Maybe someone is willing to take Evans.
Pelicans sure clean house and start completely over.
They did the worst job possible...obvious to anyone with a brain. Now they are paying the price.
Hard to be this stupid when knowing basketball and team building is your job. Good work making the playoffs last year though...that was really worth destroying your team for.

They should have gotten in on the Morris sweepstakes earlier imo before Phoenix was deadset on tanking post-Bledsoe injury. Anderson/filler for Morris/Tucker would have been really appealing.
I don't expect them to make many correct moves. In fact, I think this team will complete salary dump trades in hopes of rebuilding through FA. Right now, they'll be over the cap if they don't renounce Gordon and Anderson. If they renounce both, they're looking at $20M in cap space. I don't think it's a guarantee you'll get 2+ players to replace their production with just $20M this summer.
I think Hinkie (or Portland, etc.) is gonna fleece this team 1 more time- totally speculative, but they can absorb Tyreke/Asik/Ajinca/Q-Pon before FA starts this summer and still have room for their target free agents.
If it's true that Joe Dumars will be running the show starting this summer, New Orleans will want to have the cap space to reshape the roster. This ownership demands playoff runs, and the last time Dumars had that type of edict he signed Josh Smith and S&T'd for Brandon Jennings.

Eric Gordon will win a playoff series for someone. He is underrated on ISH just because he's made of glass and in a bad situation. He's not the player he once was, but he changed his game and adapted. He shot like 45% from 3 last season and has been the healthiest Pelican over the last 2 years.

Rose for Holiday/Gordon
Or Taj for GordonRose/MDJr for Holiday/Gordon could be a great trade IMO for the Bulls.
I think you have to put a little extra salary than just Rose to make the trade $s work.

Funny thing is they can exchange their mis-matched, injured, and oft-injured talent for as many picks as they want...they are still a shitty franchise with a terrible coach that ruined their team.

Anderson would fit nicely along side Jonas in Toronto. Don't think I would be willing to give up much for him though seeing as how I view us as pretenders at this point. We're not competing for the title so why break the bank?

Terrance Ross + filler for Anderson + whateverIf they're competent, they'd ask for a combo of expiring contracts/young talent/picks.

Getting that Knicks pick out of Toronto would be a steal, but I highly doubt that they part with it. Maybe you can coax that LAC first or Toronto's own pick.
