Bench got mad exposed 2nd and 3rd quarters, they couldn't score or defend for shit against Detroit. They really missed Speights tonight, he could have given them some decent scoring.

While I hope they don't, they still have a great chance and gave the ability to. They need one more long winning streak to do it though, something like 10 or 12 games to get them back on track

I've been saying since like week 4 of the season that they will lose a mere eight regular season games this year. Last night was the first time I doubted that. The more losses they rack up in the near future, the less likely the coaching staff will be inclined to actually let these guys go for this record. Let's say in 2-3 weeks they're up to 6 or 7 losses. That means they'd really have to press late in the year to pull off 72-10, when they should be taking it easy. Not only do they need another winning streak to pull it off, that streak has to start like right now or else they'll come to realize it's not worth it.

Especially with Curry still apparently needing some extended rest to return to 100%.

Solid prediction.

The last two losses so close together has put them behind the Bulls pace at this point. I know the Bulls were like 41-3 around this time in the year, and the Warriors still have a few games against the Spurs, Cavs, OKC, Clips. Its the games they 'shouldn't' lose that's going to determine how this ends. I think they'll wind up with 69 wins.

Doubtful. The rest of their schedule becomes considerably tougher. Furthermore, whoever is coaching them will surely begin to rest players as the season wears on. And then there is the injury unknown.

They may not even duplicate last year's mark.

I don't know where you're going with this. First the majority of prediction is beating the record & now it's "can't win em all.."

Make up your mind, guys. :lol

I love how people say this like it makes the Warriors a bad team or more beatable in the playoffs. It's not like Bulls had some great bench. They had Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen playing 38 a game. If the Warriors want to break 72 wins they need to play Curry and Klay more. A few games ago I heard the announcers saying Klay never gets tired... So then why the *** are the Warriors only playing him 33 minutes a game? play him 40 minutes..

To not risk an injury. If they're healthy, they're winning the title. Jeopardizing that for a chance to break the 72 win record would be stupid as ****. Especially considering they'll just look worse if they win more than 70 and end up losing in the Playoffs when it matters.
