We're now on a third annual MLK where I meet my buddy and his kids at a High School Basketball tournament at a local arena. It's really a nice set up for the day. 15 bucks for all day access general admission, or 25 if you want floor seats. There's like 5 games, starting at 11am and the last one starting at 7pm. I usually get there for the last two.

Even the regular high school games we pay 5 bucks for usually. Maybe less for the kids.

This one is expensive because it's in a privately run arena. They've gotta pay ushers and janitorial services and parking attendants and concession people.

The 25 bucks for the full day of games isn't that big a deal. It's criminal though what they charge you for mediocre concessions though.

I saw Providence's Kris Dunn there the first year we went. Usually you're talking mid major guys coming out of the top Connecticut programs, with the occasional exception. I know Basick HS is the late game tonight and they're one of the top teams in the state. There's a couple other high end programs in there too.

That was a fantastic game, I hope you both remember it for a while. As for me, I've slept in, went to lunch at Chipotle with a girl I like, then watched the Jazz/Hornets game (wasn't disappointed), then played ball and got hit in the face pretty hard (now I've got a black eye). I then watched some of the Cavs game and when I saw they were down 30 and that the NBA forum has gone to hell I fled to the OTC and to a friend's apartment to watch "the Bachelor" which will be immediately followed by me finishing my Spanish homework and then going to see "13 Hours" with my roommate. That's about it

It was frustrating that we played no defense (except for Marvin Williams) and let a 15 point lead slip away but it was nice to see Kemba drop 52 and set a new franchise record. My daughter got a pic of MJ and texted it to all her friends. It's amazing how famous he still is after all these years.

99% of the players with that skin are garbage, which is surprising considering how incredibly easy she is to play. :oldlol:

If you're still getting used to it, play a few matches vs bots at the highest difficulty and if you do well, you can definitely handle quick match. Your opponents are roughly matched to your skill level so it's not like you'll be playing against anyone great at first.
