If i was dying for water and a bunch of muslims came over and gave me a bottle of water, i'm not sure if i'd drink it tbh.

Fuhck anyone who has anything negative to say about this.
God bless those folks, even when an entire nation of people is being brainwashed to hate them, they still spread love and help their opressors.
Why can't blacks be more like the Muslims?

Correction: Not Muslims.
It's a Muslim organization.
They collect donations from everybody.

Very nice of them but the Muslims at Flint are radicals. So this could be a potential PR stunt due to the nature of that area and that is a hot bed for radicals in America.
We don't have a Muslim problem in America but that particular place is a problem. Therefore, I reserve judgement and the water should be examined due to the nature of what's been going around all over the world.
If people think I'm making things up...just google and YouTube that area and you will see that particular area is equivalent to the Muslim areas in Europe. Very hardcore Muslims there that will make you feel like you are in Europe.

It's a nice gesture. Thread worthy? Probably not. Average pack 24 pack of 16.9 oz is around say $5. 30,000/24= 1250 packs x $5=$6,250. Let us round up and say it was a $10,000 donation.
So $10k donation is thread worthy?

Dodda-
Were you under the impression that every black person in America is a muslim?
Or did you fail to distinguish the 2 very different groups of people being referenced?
Also, how are there negative comments in this thread? How is that possible? A group of people donated clean drinking water to a group of people in desperate need of clean water and ISH finds a way to spin it into a negative. You guys are pathetic

And a cheap one at that.
We are trillions in dollars, billions of dollars are being spent to chose our next president, billions of tax subsidies are given to huge corporations but we are supposed to be impressed by 30,000 bottles of water (notice how they use the amount of water bottles to try to impress the readers of their generosity) given that probably amount to a donation in the few thousands?
Oh please just some dumb propaganda article where the Muslim author can go on his high horse and preach something along the lines of "Even when anti-Islam is on the rise Muslims are still giving because our religion requires it" BS.
In the end a generous person would make a donation and shut the **** up instead of boasting how generous their religion requires them to be while trying to spread their propaganda.

Some muslims are donating WATER to people who need it, and it has your panties in a bunch.
You are like the guys who ragged on KD for anonymously donating $1 million to OKC tornado victims "he's a dick $1 million is nothing to him" :coleman:

Probably bad timing to go on a muslim rant(believe me, I know), but I agree with the bolded.
Flint is 1/3 Arab, of course they'll help their own kind.
FYI, you can buy 2000 bottles from Costco (a pallet) of name brand water for $300.
So 'Muslims' donated $4000 worth of water. This is news worthy because their religion or.... what? Why?

All that research you did, and you couldn't use a calculator properly???? :biggums:
According to your costco research, 2,000 bottles cost $300. 30,000 bottles should be 300x15.
That's $4,500. Why did you round down to $4,000? :biggums: You can't even do 2nd grade math and you want us to take you seriously on a 5th grade message board? :biggums:

You know what I mean.
30,000 bottles. 2,000 is a pallet. 15 pallets X $300.
What's the problem?

Don't care if it's a "PR stunt". It's a good thing to do. When people do good things, they deserve credit, not skepticism.

yup, something that is ignored by those who hate America and its religiosity, is that this same religiosity has made it comfortably the most charitable nation on the planet for decades.
Not to mention that religious traditionalists are consistently more charitable than liberal or leftist utopians (and usually nicer people, from my personal experiences), which might explain why the latter can't help hating the former.

It's not skepticism.
It's that this donation pales in comparison to donations made every single day to different organizations all over the country...
But this one was publicized because it came from Muslims. Nobody is going to argue they shouldn't have given the water, and nobody is going to argue what they did wasn't a nice gesture.
What I will question is, why did this small donation make headlines? We all know why.

I get that, but that is an issue with the media, not the people making a small donation. Unless there is evidence that these people went out of their way to get a media spotlight for this action.

Additional sources of that animosity could be ostracization, the rebellion against father motif so prevalent in daughters, the pride that's almost barrier-like in repressing the Holy Spirit, the guilt of wanting to destroy something beautiful, or perhaps the strongest, remarkably common and scariest one of them all; simply possession by negative entities that can not be seen (especially influential). Something ancient cultures have always had protection over; either through dreamcatchers, or forewarnings regarding witchcraft, or verses of the Qu'ran, or something against the Evil Eye.
What was surprising about last night's Church Service was not what was there, but what WASN'T there. They celebrated MLK but made no mention of Abolitionists during the Civil War! Growing up in a Blue State Public School, we were TAUGHT to be SELFISH and to self-aggrandize from a youthful impressionable age. Assignments such as "One thing I like about myself_____" and dishing out compliments in droves and "I'm unique because _____" and all kinds of these self-centered fuel for pride in lieu of the eternal truths Bible really capture the preliminary reasons on the character weaknesses of the Millenials.
....Time to uncondition.

Yeah, like I said, I don't think anyone has an issue with them donating water.
I have an issue that this small, tiny donation is being publicized (with or without their encouragement) simply because the donors happen to be Muslim.
Good on them, though. They donated more than I did.

When its all said and done this Flint water thing is going to go down as one of the most significant environmental catastrophies in american history. In addition to all the lead poisoning there are already 10 dead from legionella.
